I haven't seen a thread for UNE Class of 2024. I just recently got their supplemental fee request. Hoping for interview.
Please post updates.
Good Luck!

Here is a link to last year's thread: ***The Official UNE Class of 2023 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

How long did it take for you to receive the supplemental after you submitted? Also, for the supplemental answers, did your paragraphs also clump into one big body of text? I had separate paragraphs and it all clumped together. When I called AADSAS, they said that they don't allow separate paragraphs as it shows that you used more characters than you actually did. Just wondering if you experienced the same! Thanks 🙂

I submitted on June 18th, I received the processing fee request on the 21st. Yes my paragraphs did clump together, I tried using transition words to separate them. That was early in the cycle, so it may take longer now that they're receiving more applications.

Thank you! I found the whole paragraph situation odd considering that my personal statement was left in paragraphs but the supplemental answers were all clumped.

My application was verified on 6/24, after which I received the processing fee request on 6/26.
As for the supplemental clumping, I don't believe I experienced that. However, if it truly is something AADSAS regulates, the school will be able to differentiate would be paragraphs.

That's interesting. Just to clarify, questions 1,2,3 were all separated but it is the paragraphs that I made within each question that were clumped. AADSAS says that they don't allow paragraphs and I saw people on another thread having a similar issue with a different program so I guess it's normal!

Nah, seems like the same thing is happening for everyone. It’s just AADSAS’s system, they can’t punish us for it.

There's no fee waiver available at UNE according to the Dental School Explorer.

I've seen on Facebook that a few people have received an email from UNE that says "haven't received an invitation to submit a supplemental fee" today. Does it hold any weight to have at least made it past this phase and potentially have a better chance at an interview?

Probably because paying the supp fee is the step before an interview invite.

"At this time, your application is being held for additional review at a later date. At this time you will not receive an invitation to submit a supplemental application payment. " I received this email about 5 days after submitting my applications. Anyone else receive this or know what this means?

I got the same message a week and a half ago, but I sent UNE Admissions an email asking what it meant. They havent responded yet....

Their website indicates that people who receive a supplemental are interview candidates. So, as of right now, you probably are not an interview candidate. They will likely revisit your application later and send you the supplemental/or maybe an interview. I am not an expert, this is what I'm concluding from reading their admissions website.

that makes more sense, thank you!

Is this supplemental different from their application fee?

Yeah, you pay a fee through ADEA AADSAS and then UNE asks for $55 supplemental fee

This is the fee I was referring to, not the $110, the email with the $55. Is there a different supplemental email that those $55?

Yes that is the supplemental fee we are referring to, the $55 fee. There is no different supplemental.

It says on the website there's a $100 supplemental fee. I did pay the $55 fee, however.

I just got the email to submit my supplemental fee, has anyone hear back from them?

By stalking last year's thread lol, it seems like we won't be hearing back till next week or a little later.

So for UNE, is it just the ADEA application/questions/fee, and then the secondary fee that UNE will email you? Or is there an actual secondary application as well?

There are not additional questions aside from the ones we answered on AADSAS. The email only asks you to pay a $55 secondary/supplemental fee.

Thanks so much! Also, does everyone who submits the supplemental fee get an interview? Or do they select certain people to interview that have submitted the fee?

It'd be nice if we all got an interview. But, they select certain people to interview from those that have submitted the fee.
