The Official UNLV Dental Class of 2020 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Does anyone know if UNLV still uses their admissions formula?
Also, does anyone have access to or know the interview/acceptance statistics? Specifically for post-Dec interviews? Got invited but they're booked till January 🙁

They still use their admission formula. Are you instate or OOS?

Does anyone know about how many seats are usually filled Dec 1st by in-state applicants and how many seats are filled with interviews later such as February and March for in-state applicants?

My roommate got his acceptance 6 days before orientation, I think that could give u an idea.

They interview about 175 before December (in and out of state) and accept about 120 of those. After a few weeks, as the acceptances and denials come in, they open another round of interviewing. Of the 60 instate people they interviewed, 56 were accepted and I think just over 40 enrolled. I'm not sure if those 60 instate interviews were all before pre December or anything

Hi! Going to my interview on 11/20/15, and staying the night after the interview, as well. Just looking to see if anyone else is also going on this date and staying to hang a little bit. Wanting to make friends lol !

Also if anyone has any tips/info on how this interview is, please feel free to comment! 🙂

To those that have interviewed already, what time does the whole agenda usually end?

got an interview invite today at 10:19 AM PST! Scheduled for 2/12, which was the earliest possible date to book.
1st batch and OOS.

I am totally and completely new at this. I have both my applications in, but I'm taking my DAT on the 17th of this month. I know it's a very late, but every time I tried to ask my counselor for help he would always say, "I'm not sure, I'll ask someone and get back to you" and he is the science counselor. Soo.. As I'm reading all of your comments. I'm pretty much out of luck for this cycle huh? Can someone give me some advice or insight as to what I should do ? Good luck to everyone !!!

Just to clarify, you have applications in but no DAT score at all? It's pretty late in the game honestly I think you should send in your dat scores since you already paid the app fees and hope for the best. Chances are slim but crazier things have happened. Get your app in early and completed next cycle for your best chances

I got an interview and I booked it for 2/5. I'm a Texas resident and I'm probably just back up. I don't know how seriously they're evaluated applicants that late in the cycle. Does anybody have any statistics about how many people are interviews (in state and oos) vs how many people get accepted.

Only one more week of waiting. The anticipation is killing me! Good luck to everyone!

Only interview and no status change yet. Also interviewed this month. Really praying for this school right now lol.

Where did you find that ~120/175 statistic? That seems too good to be true

Are we going to be able to find out if we got accepted via our aadsas portals, or do we have to just keep a look out for an acceptance package in the mail ?

You can either call them tomorrow, or it'll be updated on your portal.

Has anyone's portal changed from "invited for interview"?

Sometime between 1:00-4:30 am, mine changed to "Please check back December 1 for more information regarding your decision status with this school"

Mine changed around that time too. 3 more hours!
