They said that they do it that way to give the late applicants/late interviewees a chance. I don't know why they couldn't just have sent out 72 invites on Dec. 3rd though, since second round acceptances occurred before post-Dec interviews. :/. Despite its high price tag, I still really like USC though and am waiting for them to send out 3rd round acceptances.

Same here! Hoping for something in the next week or so..since the deposit from the last round is due this Tuesday. :scared:
 
I think we would have to wait longer though. Last year's 3rd round acceptances occurred on March 5, and their second round acceptances on Jan. 13. Their 3rd round offers happened waayy after the second round deposit was due. Ah, here's to waiting!

By email & I applied last month. AA20 TS21 PAT21 GPA~3.70

Does anyone know if USC is doing group interview or individual interviews this cycle? I've read from previous cycles they did a group study case but not any individual interviews (unless you are a re-applicant). Can anyone confirm this? Any insight would be much appreciated!

I heard previous waitlist applicants who did not get in previous year, will get group and individual interview in same day (2 interviews), and they have better chance to get in compare to new applicants. not sure if that is true!!! anyone have any info about this?
 
Would anybody know if USC reviews the applicants in sequence, meaning in the order they were sent to the school? I submitted my application to USC in early October '12 but have yet to hear back, so I'm getting pretty anxious. Any insight would be much appreciated!

They probably do, but I don't think that not hearing anything from them means that your application has not been reviewed yet. I submitted mine on July/ August, but I have not heard anything from them yet. I think, they put my application aside for lesser consideration or something.

They probably have reviewed your application already. I actually think that USC uses a formula to choose whom to interview and whom to accepted. From what I remember, they rank those who interview, which means that there must be a methodical, point-based, system to rank each interviewees, or else it'll be too arbitrary and unfair. If they're that meticulous with interviewees, then I'm guessing they use the same system to choose whom to interview as well? I know they interview ~500 applicants, and USC has one of the largest application pool. They interview around 15% of the total number of applicants...Take everything I say with a grain of salt though. I'm just hypothesizing about the whole process. Although, from the above comments, they do interview through March (?), and so I think you still have a shot. Best of luck with everything. 🙂.
 
I sent everything out in September but they received everything in late October. I got an interview for third round acceptances. They definitely have a rank system, but I'm not sure how it works for people who haven't gotten interviews. Good luck, though!

When does USC stop interviewing?

I called them and they said they interview until late April, but has anyone interviewed that late in years past?

End of February/Beginning of March. I'm guessing next week. :/. There's no exact "date" that's set up. Hopefully the good news will come soon. 🙂.

You don't have to post the same questions to two different people. Just make it a general question. We had ~18 at ours and 50% of the class is filled. Aka this is third round of acceptance coming soon which will make it 75% full by the end of the round.

we had around 25 on our interview date. They didn't mentioned how full their class was, but did mentioned there will be two more rounds of acceptances and then it will be based on left over seats. We are ranked based on our stats but they wouldn't provide that info to us 🙁
 
Thanks. sounds like this year fewer people are attending USC interviews. Last year was almost 28~30 ppl in all sessions (not sure though, just heard and read from other posts). And class was almost full (90%) in March last year. Lets put a list tegether to find out how many ppl interviewd. That should be interesting.

I hit a call two days ago inviting me for an interview. I turned it down though. It was for next week. Good luck to people still waiting. Be believing, don't get discouraged, things will work out.

I am third round. That's what Ryan told me. I just find it really odd that they sent it so late in the day. But nonetheless, I'm super happy!

Lol. I understand that you're third round. I'm just surprised that no one else on SDN reported an acceptance.

Are they sending out 32 acceptance at one time (which seems to be yesterday?)
If I didn't get accepted yesterday do I need to wait for the fourth round acceptance? (or do they send more acceptance before the 4th?)
 
Hello, I have been a long time lurker on this site. I am happy to say I got my acceptance email to USC today! I just interviewed on Wednesday (27th) and was surprised how quickly I got a response. I am really excited to attend and can't wait to start school. Everyone was really friendly and I am eager to meet all my classmates.

Also, those numbers for the people who interviewed are wrong. I went on the 27th and we only had 15 or 16 people in our group.
 
Has anyone with a pre-dec inteview gotten in yesterday (third round)?

Yeah, I saw that too and was puzzled by it. Maybe they'll send third round acceptances throughout the week? But that's really odd though, since they normally don't do it that way.

Did they close down the website in previous rounds? This round is quite odd, they mailed out acceptances in the evening? Maybe we should call on Monday?
