USC bound! From Indiana. Is there a Facebook page for our class yet?
 
accepted! loved PBL and the school but will be picking a school closer to home. gl to those waiting on usc!
 
Got an acceptance email this morning. Super excited!
 
I'm in too!!! got an email this morning!!! By the way, Does USC has the letter grading system ? or P/F? Anyone who knows? I'm confused...

do you know if this means they didn't call all of the 36 acceptances today and are going to do it throughout the week......or if they are giving out more than the 36 acceptances this week (maybe if people automatically declined?)

anyone dropping their acceptance from USC? still waiting for them
 
Dropped my acceptance about 20 minutes after I got the email... It was an awkward conversation. I was just hoping they would send it to someone else. Best of luck!
 
Did anyone happen to call the admissions office to ask them if they know when the 2nd batch of acceptances are going out?
 
It will be around Jan/Feb, the date is still unknown....good luck
 
Yep, I called today and I was told Jan but they were unable to elaborate whether it would be early, mid or late January. So yeah... basically... enjoy your holidays because they won't be sending invites until after the new year!

Maybe the next round will include another 36 spots and the spots people dropped in the first round,:xf::xf::xf:
 
anybody get a recent update on when the next round of acceptances will be?
 
Anyone know if they are still sending out interview invites or at the point where they are only doing interviews now?
 
Just got an invite to USC, but will probably decline. Good luck to those waiting.

Edit: there are six dates to choose from.

I think you might want to do the interview , just in case you become to fall in love with LA or the school.
 
I got invited on 1/11. I'm doing the 2/5 interview. Anyone else going to go then?

USC is actually a really nice school. I've actually interviewed with them in the past before, I would actually attend the interview if I didn't get into Western already.

anybody knows why USC sent 2nd round acceptance on middle of Jan last year and they are going to send 2nd round acceptance on Feb this year ?

Is that a good news ? or bad news ? for the waitlists

I think it is not a good news b/c last year they sent 2nd round acceptance much earlier due to alot of people withdraw the school so that the school didn't need to send out any new interview invitation but the school just accepted people from waitlists who had pre-dec interview.. and few people from the post-dec interviewees.. ( ex) 36 from pre-dec -- most people dropped, like , for example 30 ppl, so school need new 36 and 30 to fill up the spot.

so the school decided to accept a lot of students from pre-dec waitlist and that was around middle of Jan which is earlier.

however, this year, people don't drop the USC and the school need only new 36 + maybe few (for example like 5 b/c only few people drop )

so they don't have to fill out as many as they did last year only about 36+few alpha which is , let's say , around 40 ppt at 2nd round acceptance.

so they can just spend as much time as they want and pick students carefully.

this is what I think about the process this year.

well, it is not a good sign for those who did pre-dec and didn't get accepted.


any other ideas ?
 
maybe its a new rule they have implemented this year? I honestly dont know unless someone calls Ryan.
 
Hey guys, don't worry, the first day of interview is late january and I am sure the second wave of acceptance will be out sometimes around that time before considering the people who interview from late jan to feb >because they will be considered in the third round,,,,Good luck

Can I ask you more detail ?

I do not understand because if the school decide to do that why did they not accept 72 ppl at the first place ?

2nd interview starts late Jan???

And 2nd round acceptance is released Feb???

Did you ask the school ??

It just never makes sense at all..

Last year they sent out their second batch of acceptances on Friday, Jan 13.
 
I just checked my status and still says under review...Application sent all the way back in July! any idea what that means? Still a chance?
