Interview started second week of August. Roughly 12 people on each interview day. Interviews are held on Tuesdays. However, not all Tuesdays are interview days. Interviews will last until the end of January. So I would say a little over a 100 but I am just guessing.

For those who have interviewed already, good luck hearing back on Monday!! Anyways, I am interviewing on 12/3 and I was wondering what was the day like. I tried to google it but all I could find was the interview was open file...?

It's open file. Day starts with about 80% of the main presentation giving you all the info you need of the school. Sometimes the dean will come in and speak to you too. Then it's lunch and time to ask current students questions. Then half of the group does a tour and half of the group does interviews, then they switch. The interviews are about 20ish minutes with two separate faculty members. Laid back easy questions. They do have a sheet of questions that they are required to ask though but nothing scary. Then everyone gets back, you get fitted for white coats, and the rest of the presentation is wrapped up, and the day ends.

Does anyone know when Houston will begin sending out acceptance letters this year? Dr. Cooley mentioned that they would be later this year.

Yeah, I got SA and Houston at 12am! OH for some reason Houston's letter was in the Promotions inbox stead of the Primary one, so if you have Gmail and haven't seen anything from Houston, CHECK all of your inboxes! I didn't find it until like 30 minutes later
 
Accepted 12:01, be sure to check your "Important" folder on gmail, that's where mine was.
 
If we interviewed beginning of October and didn't hear back is there any hope we will in January? Or should I have heard today since my interview was earlier?

When I interviewed, one of the students at lunch told me she was on the wait list and didn't hear back until March!
 
I got notified for an interview today! Very excited. How is the interview process like? How many interviews are there. Do you guys have any tips?

You start with a presentation by Dr. Cooley. Then half go to their interviews and the other half go on a tour of the school. You then switch to go on the interviews or tour. You then meet back up and have lunch with D3 and D4 students. You will have 2 interviews with faculty members which last about 30 min each. Tips are, be relaxed and have an idea of what your answers to interview questions will be but don't memorize. SDN had all the questions you will need to know.

Yea. They emailed me saying thanks for accepting, and that they received the letter of intent. If you didn’t receive the email I suppose you can request it, by emailing them.
 
Just got an acceptance letter at 8 am this morning. I interviewed in November. I will be turning down my spot as I am already committed to my top pick UTHSCSA so good luck everyone!

Just got an offer today from UTSD! I am still waiting on San Antonio which is my top choice. I might turn down the offer from UTSD if I get UTHSCSA.

Can I ask why y'all have UTHSCSA as your first choice? Is it closer to family or something similar? Just curious as all 3 TX schools are great!

It’s more about my family than ‘which school is better.’ This is pure greed on my part because all the Texas schools are great and cheap.

Exact same reason for me as the other user. I have family in SA and I went to undergrad at UTSA so I lived in SA for some years. Love the city and it feels a lot more like home to me. All the Texas schools are top notch and differ on so little things that I find most people make the decision between them because of personal things (family, familiar with location) and not program specifics.

From my knowledge all interview invites have been sent out. Acceptances will be sent out until the class is full and that can be as late as June. Expect the majority of the class to be full around March-April. June is the last month where a few people get accepted should any spots become available.
