I didn’t get this email and submitted my app in September! Do you think that’s a good sign for me/would anyone be open to sharing a screenshot of what the email said??

Some people didn’t get it yet I believe.
My friend applied a previous cycle and she got that email during January. So it might not be a mass email, but I feel like they send it out in waves.

so digging through past threads, I think the 'still with committee under review' email is leaning towards a soft rejection... :grumpy:

you probs have/haven't received it yet because your last name is different than ours.
 
Hey y'all, I just got an email from them asking about my plans for dental school and saying they were interested in me, even though I didn't apply here, and I was wondering if anybody else had gotten anything like that?

I got similar e-mail from schools I ended up not sending my application to. Think its common for schools to get as much applicants as possible
 
Anyone heard anything this week since school reopened? I know they stop interviewing in February.
 
Anyone's status on AADSAS changed to offer made but no portal change and no email/phone call?

Does WesternU have a waitlist? 🙁 I haven’t heard anything since I interviewed in September. I even went to the school to mail in a letter of intent and tried my best to update them.

WesternU does have a waitlist but things remain pretty quiet until post February interviews. Hang in there.

Just got a second email saying “my app is still with the committee” and it’s already the end-ish(?) of their interview season.
Things ain’t lookin’ so bright at this point

But just curious if they sent out invites and if so for which dates?? Feb??

I received the same email lol
 
I sent them an update in mid/end of dec. and again in beginning Jan.

But I kind of already knew it wasn’t looking too bright. Their class is 70 ppl—35 female, 35 male with some students out of state from that mix + a few students who are pulled from their own special masters program

(So, the probability is extremely low esp. at this point if I had already applied a bit late + got this email (for a second time) esp. at the end-ish of their interview season + I’m not the only one who got this email)

So from that reasoning, its ovah.

Oh well, I got an interview from my top choice so I’m not too sad but it still sucks to be outta the race here!

I just asked her if she could please let me know the status of my application. But again, she just said the same

Hey, I also got the "app is in review with the committee" a few times this cycle and I just got the interview invite today! I thought it was a 'silent/nice rejection' but apparently not. 🙄 Does anyone have any tips/rundown of the interview day they're willing to share with me? This school is one of my top choices!

It was a really relaxed interview that went by really fast. Very conversational, pretty basic. Since it is one of your top choices make sure to let them know.

I did not email updates/do an AADSAS academic update during the Fall semester

That's good to hear! I consider WesternU as one of my top choices OOS, since I'm instate for the Texas schools, so I hadn't thought of letting WesternU know
 
what days of the week does WesternU interviews? Is it only Fridays?

I got the "App is Ready for WesternU Committee Review" Aug 19. I had to have one of my english prereqs re-verified (?) because I used AP credit and initially my app said I hadn't met all the pre-reqs. I submitted my AADSAS app July 20

Congratulations! The interview is super relaxed and closed-filed. Be comfortable will answering "Why Western?" as well. None of the questions really caught me off guard and this was extremely helpful (I have also posted my questions on here): Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine

Just got a call today for an interview February 7th! I’m so excited! I called a little over two weeks ago about the status of my application and all I was told was that it was still under review at the time. She did mention that if I don’t hear anything from them by the end of January I can essentially lose all hope in being invited for an interview as there last interview was in early February. Nevertheless here we are at the end of January! Any input as to what to expect for the interview would be greatly appreciated!

:[ oh no! it is almost end of Jan.

My app is still under review by the committee. I called and they told me that my application is in "queue" since feb is their last interview month. Hopeful but feeling lost.
