So question for all Aggies out there...I was just wondering about this if I end up at A&M, which is very likely, I know this is kinda dumb but is the anti-UT sentiment really strong in CS? I drive a nice car & have a longhorn sticker on it which I would want to keep on the car, but then I don't want to risk some crazy drunk super-aggie fans to mess it up or anything lol. I was always under the impression that the anti-longhorn sentiment was a lot stronger than the anti-aggie-ness in Austin. I must say..that on my interview day in CS, when I pulled up at a light next to a monster truck with a gigantic longhorn with horns sawn off decal on the back window, I was a little scared. lol...let me know what yall think, or am I just totally paranoid?

Don't keep up with it too much anymore but PL soccer is still fun to watch! I love watching Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea, though Everton and Newcastle are just as fun. I guess you can only pick one team to support though, and for me that's Man United too.

The Houston Dynamo are pretty cool too. Have yet to make it to a game in person, but still a good team to watch on TV.

Hang in there! It doesn't happen that way for everyone...I had a run of really bad luck for most of last year (and not just with med school apps), so maybe that was it. 😉 GOOD LUCK!!!!

I used to play left forward in HS. Still follow it, but on a national level (No time to track all the little teams ). But at the end of the day, I still gotta root for milan tho. As for the Dynamos, yeah, how many pro teams you know that bring the cup home two years in a row, and that includes the first two years they are formed. My bro has been at both championships, but I still haven't made it to a single game of theirs either. 😀

So an update !... Just got back from UT-H and just wanna say everything is beautiful about that school.. 😍😍😍

Anyone that has second thoughts of that school, go for a second look and you will fall in love w the school... i took a friend who's already accepted and we went to the hospitals (besides LBJ where i already shadow EC doc's), housing, walked in on a class, talked to the students, (most imp.) had great lunch ... talked to a couple of faculty that were sitting outside and before we left, spoke with admissions personnal ... and came out even stronger impression of UTH than before ... everything is great about that school..

Don't worry about anything at all. We're not the classless types like at Lubbock who will bust your windows or slash your tires (yes it's happened to more than one of my friends). While we love to BTHO tu, we're not about destroying your property (BAYLOR! and Tech for that matter). I wouldn't start insulting drunk Aggies on Northgate, but have no fear of wearing your burnt orange or leaving your horns on the car. No harm should come to you. We're friendlier than that. 🙂

Yeah, the english league is very fast-paced, which makes for great watching.

I don't think you'll lose your TCOM acceptance, but you might have lost the chance to match to Tech.

Have you tried calling TMDSAS? I would do that, see what they say, and then freak out if necessary.

My obvious advice is to try and enter it now and call tmdsas in the morning

Sooo... burning question. How does A&M to anatomy practical if you're in Temple? And how do they even do anatomy lab?

I should know these things since I know people that go there, but I actually don't think I know anyone doing the 4 in Temple. So someone who interviewed there please catch me up 🙂

Like some have already said there is audio/video between campuses, but this is really only used for announcements and brief presentations from surgeons/radiologists before lab. Both campuses have a fully-equiped lab with equal cadaver/student ratios.

After initial announcements they usually turn of the connection between campuses. Both have instructors to help with dissection, so there is no need for communication.

For practicals the system is a bit more complicated. We have half the time as power point questions and the other half is in the lab with pinned structures. Most would think power point would make things harder, but in reality most everyone in our class liked this better (you dont have to waste time switching stations, the views are good/clear, you can see radiographs better, etc.). Power point is primarily used for radiographs, close-up views, bones, and review structures difficult to find 2 months later.

As for keeping things the same, the power point is the identical for both. They do pinned structures by utilizing the audio/video in lab to be sure instructors are pinning the same thing and the views are the same. They are very careful when they do this and make a huge effort to make things identical.

Does everyone in Austin smell like patchouli or get off by listening to Ted Kennedy? No. Just like Austin, we have a few jackasses who make everyone look bad and it gives us a bad rep.

We have many UT grads in our class and the only time it ever comes up are the weeks surrounding the football game. Even then, it's just friendly banter that everyone enjoys. As long as you don't run around Northgate on a Saturday night in your orange gear and hook 'em signs, no one will bother you.

I was gonna suggest trying and inputing it now as well, but I see you already tried that. There's nothing you can do now until you get a hold of TMDSAS. You already emailed them, so just wait and call them in a.m. I don't think you've lost your TCOM acceptance like Jolie said. Shoot, you might get lucky and not lose your Tech contention either. Let's just hope for the best, freaking out won't do you any good.
