Hey, I actually don't know if I will go. I was really surprised when I got the email. I already got into my first choice, but I sort of want to go for the interview. I have to wait until after the holidays to see when I can take time off from work.

thanks! yeah it's pretty cool I got an interview, hopefully it's a good match... and congrats on your Colorado interview, I visited Denver for the first time last year and loved it. i think it's pretty funny that we both interviewed at UF same day, I wanted to just yell out, 'who is ninja' lol... but gl either way!! 😀

I didn't know we were there the same day...I would say "I had on the black suit" but I'm pretty sure 95% of the people did. Oh well, good luck to you as well!
 
I just want to do a little bumping. Any news from anyone? I just got back from my Tufts interview, and I should hopefully hear some good news next monday.


No words from NYU or BU yet.
 
Had my Colorado interview last Friday...not sure when I will be hearing back but hopefully it's soon! 🙂
 
I just had an interview with unc oos (invited in december)... umdnj (invited in october) and unc are my top schools. 😍

hope everyone else is griding those interviews as well.

I was invited to interview with Pitt 1/25, but I might withdraw just to open up slots for late submitters. 😕

anyone else? howd ur CO go Ninja... hajibajih didnt u get a columbia interview as well?

I just received my first interview invite today and it was from Tufts. I'm nervous for the interview! How did your interview go? what can I expect? any advice? 🙂
 
I got an interview invite from UCSF today, can any of you guys offer any advice?

Haha, me too. But they definitely made sure to send me a letter in the mail mid November saying I still needed to pay my Application fee ;p

just got my first acceptance in Case Western...canceling the other interviews!
 
My word of advice to people who are thinking about applying late for the next cycle: DON'T DO IT. 🙂 Apply as early as possible.

That being said, I was lucky and fortunate enough to get into my top two schools: UW and UCSF. I withdrew my application from the other schools.
 
Interview invite from NYU this morning, via email. Last piece of application (committee letter) received by AADSAS in early-mid-October.
 
I received an interview invite from UW this morning. The last portion of my application was mailed mid-October.

I just checked AADSAS, and it says on 02/11/2010 I was invited for interview at NYU, but I didn't get any emails from them. What's going on?

What did the email say? Do we have to pick a date or is it assigned?

The email basically just said to call their Admissions office within one week in order to set up an interview. I would call them on Monday. Tell them about your AADSAS status and see what's up.

Yes, you pick a date. The earliest dates, when I called, were during the week of March 8-12.

hey aclementine, when did u submit ur aadsas n wat are ur stats? im still waiting to hear back from NYU, its starting to drive me up the wall
 
shloppy: thanks! do you remember what dates (days of the week, etc) we could pick from?

dmd87: I was complete end of september, and my stats were ~3.5, ~22 across the board. hope you hear from them soon!

I'm not certain, but I think I remember her saying they had openings every day (M-F), March 8-12. I knew I wanted the first available Friday, so I kind of tuned out some of the dates she listed off. Good luck.

BTW, dmd87 -- and anyone still waiting to hear from NYU -- I recommend shooting them an email. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I heard back from them about 10 days after I sent them an email indicating they remained a "top choice" for me. They get so many applicants, and it saves them time to know they're not inviting folks who have already picked their in-state school, or who think of NYU as their "fallback" school, or whatever. Thanks to other SDNers for this idea -- it worked! 👍

You should definitely call-- NYU did this for me too (my AADSAS updated, but never got an email). Turns out it was an error and they "resent" the email to me right away. It was annoying though knowing that I was waiting on pins and needles when I could have found out about my interview two weeks earlier than I did.

Committee letter submitted mid-October.

Original interview date @Case Western: Apr. 22. This date was made in late Oct.

Called them in mid-Dec. and was able to bump interview up to early Feb.

Acceptance: TODAY, 2/26/2010, via AADSAS status update.

Go, October submitters!

My app was submitted 10/20, mailed from AADSAS 11/16.

Interviewed with NYU the first week of December and was accepted December 20th or so. I am currently holding a deposit there.

I was scheduled to interview with Case in April, called to move it to the end of January, and was accepted via AADSAS today!

I will be withdrawing from NYU as soon as I get my hands on the Case letter and submit the deposit. That frees up a spot for someone else. Good luck to everyone.

I am about 98% sure I will be canceling my NYU interview, but I'm going to wait until Monday to do so (on the remote chance that 2% starts to "bug me" over the weekend...). But yeah, my March 12 interview slot will almost certainly be opening up for someone on Monday.
