I’m puzzled by this exchange. Wasn’t your concern about Dina based on her lurking and taking a while to reply after reacting? If she’s confirming here that she was lurking, why are you backtracking on that concern?

My specific concern there was that she saw the unbolded post from Ace, hence the "in wolfchat with Ace" part. So I backtracked on that bit.

This post worries me. I really don’t feel great about players being happy about being unreadable (from a metagame standpoint sure, but in the middle of a game as a villager you would be worried about making sure your fellow villagers can read you correctly). It also feels like a strange way to respond to suspicion if you were a villager. Just sounds kind of like “you can’t read me so don’t even bother being suspicious of anything sketchy I do this game”. What was that you were saying about pre-emptive defensiveness?

Oh I'm not happy about it. But if you'll notice, a lot of people who have played with me for a while refuse to ever give me a solid read. "I think dubz is village, but it's dubz" is common. So that's what I was referring to.

I'm reading April neutral. I'm not reading anyone strongly as a wolf. But I'm also suspect of some people who have parked their votes outside of any consensus, and without much to back it. Specifically Dina on MSP and Sloth on Alley. Seems like an attempt to fly under the radar.

I'm voting MsP because of some residual salt from the last game I played with her where she was a sneaky wolf, so wanted to put a push there early.

So far I'm not feeling the april vote and am neutral as well. I agree with whomever said her tone is different than last game, which could make me lean village, but I think it can be attributed to the number of votes she has because she sounds more defensive. I found her vote on me strange because I had reason for my trigger vote on her last game, and a few people brought up a good point regarding Lainey and putting her vote on AM. However, I might be biased because she's voting for me .

As far as wolfy leans, I'm thinking about Vis for reasons mentioned and Please has given me some wolf feels because she's been participating on the thread, but it's been almost all fluff.

I think the argument is that another reason you could be excited about your role is that you had a PR, and saying you could be 3p was meant to put you on the defensive and make you hint if you had a PR?

Ok the thread has slowed down enough for me to collect my thoughts, especially since I'll be largely absent tomorrow (anniversary with partner).

I don't love cray's focus on sloth's vote for the first pageish. my impression of the first half of day one is everyone casts a joke vote and we all change it when something actually happens. other than that sounds like normal village cray to me

I can DEFINITELY see that, try to be inconspicuous but inadvertently being sketchy.

some of lainey's posts would ping me a little if she weren't basically a fresh noob. she only got 1 day last game so i don't super count it

Interesting. I think that the change in tone is from me going back to a village role after getting a different perspective on WW from my first wolf role last game, but since I can't really tell my own change in tone, this is just a guess for reasoning and I'm curious to hear what other people think as well. Reminds me of Shorty's tone change from noob game wolf to emoji game village that got her a D1 misyeet.

By first deflecting, and then making a separate post not quoting back to Dubz original question, Genny can simultaneously say she answered the question and make it look like, at a cursory glance if you ISO her posts, that she’s offering those reads unprompted, and doing more “wolf hunting” than she really is.

There’s nothing here that’s a “smoking gun” or anything. But if I’m looking for things to be wrong, which I guess I am since that’s sort of the point, there’s some things here that stand out to me.

That wasn't exactly and the only thing she said, which concerned me. She initially said you seemed really excited about your role, THEN posited it could be 3P.

Definitely know plenty of packs that would never have thought to kill someone in the absence of such a statement, and even saying someone is 3P might not trigger a NK early, if they have higher priority targets, even from Super Villageness alone might be higher than a D1 spec about a 3P, and being sussed as a 3P could even keep you alive for a bit.

Now that we're talking about it, seems weird of genny of all people to sow the 3P paranoia D1 based on nothing. Also wondering if she's just trying to capitalize on the distrust of you from the last few games.

The more I think about it the more wolfy it seems. I'm just torn on if wolfy genny would be that obvious or if it's just a sign of village genny not censoring what she thinks/says on thread.
