I suggest Campmor.com for the parkasFlopotomist said:The funny thing is, I am actually sorta serious... many of us (me) have never lived anywhere that gets colder than MAYBE 45 degrees (once a year). Living somewhere that gets as cold as Chicago requires that people learn a certain set of skills. For example, where do you buy those fur lined parkas? How do you build an igloo to survive? If you buy a coffee from starbucks, and go outside, does it freeze? Do the penguins bite?
If you go to the toy section of Target, you can buy an "igloo maker" which is a rectangular plastic box with a handle on it.
Starbucks coffee will never freeze, but you pay an extra 30 cents for that in Chicago.
Penguins DO bite. Bastards. "Winter urban rats" is what I call 'em!
I'll take the Chicago winter over the summer any day. Living now where there is no humidity, it is a hard adjustment to go home to chitown for visits. Just too damn humid.
