So... my girlfriend is from Texas and when her Mom took a look at my school list and noticed I didn't have any Texas schools on there she thought I wasn't even trying to go to a school where she is from. They insist that I apply to those schools. I have explained to her how difficult being OOS and applying to those schools is and that my stats would most likely not even get looked at. She offered to pay my app fees for it, but I am just not sure if the work on the extra essays/sending transcripts, scores and letters to the service would be worth it while also working full time and trying to pre-write my AMCAS secondaries (I have 20 of them!). Any advice?

FWIW, 3.3 cumulative and sGPA, 3.6 grad degree, and 510 on the new MCAT.

And the cost of not applying is a mad/disappointed girlfriend and her mother?

I suppose so. It just seems like I could put more time into making the secondaries more solid for the schools I might actually have a shot at.
