I have had my application done since May 17th and I have not been processed. I was wondering if anyone else has been processed.

I was under the impression that you couldn't hit "submit" before 01 Jun.
Edit: didn't try myself, so I can't swear that that's true.

If you never hit a button with "submit" on it, then you're not done.

No that was wrong. The only thing you had to wait for was your spring grades. But being processed is when your file goes to the medical schools, not when you hit the submit button. It is the 2-4 weeks that tmdsas is suppose to take to review your file and just make sure that everything is ok. I was just wondering if they have started to send off the applications to the medical schools yet. If not, then that makes since why my application has not been processed. But if they have started to send off the applications, then I am 4 weeks out and I just need to figure out what is going on w/ my application.

Drop them an email - I'm sure they'll get back to you if there is a problem.

I'm pretty sure TMDSAS doesn't send out the first round til July though. Have you started your secondaries yet?

you can submit TMDSAS starting May 1.

Your application may be complete there, but TMDSAS doesn't actually send anything until some time in June (right about now I'm sure). Good for you for getting it done already. I think earliest invites come in early July.

My Life is stained by sin and selfishness. I am obsessesed with myself and getting into medical school. It is all I think about. Please forgive me. Please.

Wow - that's nuts. You mean they interview in July or invite to interview in July?

As other people have said, you COULD submit before Jun. 1, but there was really no point in doing so. I was told by TMDSAS that they would not even BEGIN to look at applications until Jun. 1.

I submitted a week ago, (they received my cert. page, etc on 6/9) and mine is not done being verified yet. The TMDSAS lady told me that it would take 1 - 2 weeks to verify an application this early in the process, so you are still within that range. Have you checked your status online to make sure that they received your certification page, photos, and $$$? I know that they will not touch your application until they receive those (i.e. the actual date that your application is queued up is the date that they receive those items.)

You are actually slightly less than 2 weeks out. See my previous post. Also, you might want to check your status online to see if your application was put into the dreaded "problem pile."

By not having transcripts and LOR won't slow your app down? They still don't have my LOR and my MCAT scores. I'm hoping that won't bite me in the butt. One recommender hasn't even sent them into my committee to be reviewed yet. 😱

I don't think so. I would've thought that not having transcripts WOULD slow down application processing (because of verification of grades, etc) but I found this in the FAQ on the TMDSAS web site:

What is validation ?

Validation is a process that TMDSAS does for those applicants who have received at least one interview. We go through each applicant's Record of College Work and verify that what has been entered matches exactly to what is on each transcript. In order to validate your coursework, we must have all of your transcripts (from every university/college ever attended).

So, it looks like they only verify your courses once you receive your first interview? Wierd. I wonder then what application processing entails, and why it takes so long?

I know not having LORs and MCAT scores will not slow processing of the application. They will send applications to Med. Schools without MCAT scores and LORs.

hi guys, i applied last year. good luck! :luck:

TMDSAS will process w/o LORs and transcripts. They just wont' send to schools until they've received everything. I think they send the first batch of applications out mid to late June (?).

Oops, actually I just checked my document status page from last year. They will send everything w/o LORS and transcripts. I wouldn't worry too much now...I think most schools don't even go through applications until July.

If I remember correctly, I think they "verify" the courses/grades stuff right around April.

TMDSAS will send out your app without lor, however(I had this happen last year) some schools will not extend you an interview untill your file is complete with them, at A&M they told me after I got rejected that had my file been completed by october first(app was complete sept 1st, but no lor till nov 1) I would have had an interview, but it was too late when they finally got my letter

I meant they send invitations for interviews then. Earliest TMDSAS interviews last year were very early in August.

I just got an email from TMDSAS saying that my application has been sent to schools (including LOR and MCAT scores). My $$ and pics were received May 22, so turnaround is about 3 weeks or so. My LOR wasn't in until June 1 but it doesn't seem to cause a delay in processing. If its true that they didnt start looking at them until June 1, then they are only backed up 2 weeks. Good luck everyone!! 😀

How does one arrange to get MCAT scores sent to TMDSAS?

Do I get to be the first one to complain I've had my app complete and am just waiting on my LOR to be mailed in by my incredibly lazy and slow advisor??? I always wanted to be the first one, awesome...

You go to MCAT THx score release and under application services click TMDSAS. Then hit submit and its on its way.

Dang, Gunner, you got in the first batch. I guess I missed it. O'well hopefully I will get processed in about a week or so. I am almost done with my secondaries so I can just finish those up so when my application gets in I am ready to go.

Ah. This is done after receiving the MCAT scores back? This needs to be done for each school you're applying to, or just one for AMCAS, one for TMDSAS?
