I don't understand how the TMDSAS works? Can someone post a link for me, because I'm sure there is a site out there that explains it well.

Yes, I've been to that website before. It talks about filling it out and such.
I've been told that if I want to apply for a school I must apply through that website. But does that automatically apply me to all Texas schools? What is the point of the system instead of sending to individual schools?

You have to apply through TMDSAS because TMDSAS is Texas' first step in seceding from the Union. :meanie:

TMDSAS is an application for all Texas state schools. But no, you will not have to apply to all the Texas schools (you can apply to only one if you so choose), but you might as well because it is dirt cheap. I take it you'll be applying next cycle at the earliest? The pre-med advisors at your school should walk you through all the steps before the fun begins. Well, at least they did at my school.

You never send your primary medical school application to any medical school. An appointment with your pre-med advisor to explain the nitty gritty might be in order about now. Or, just read the instructions.

it's pretty self-explanatory. i don't see how the website is that confusing. you can only submit it one way.

Ok OP, based on your other posts you just want to go to UT Houston. I assume you're asking the TMDSAS question because UTH is the only school you want to go to. And just like you don't want to have to volunteer, you don't want to have to take both the MCAT and GRE, and you don't think you should have to pay for things, it's not surprising that you don't think you have to apply to a Texas school the way everybody has to apply to Texas schools.

Read the website, wouldya?

well if the OP only wants to apply to UTH, all you have to do is choose to only apply to UTH. if you want to apply to the other schools, you click to select those.

don't worry about figuring out the entire application process now. wait until the new TMDSAS is up then get into the application, and there is no way you can be confused with that.
