Wdym?? There is a link for each section in blue. Once you click on it, it should lead you to another page on the portal to fill out the information. It lets you know the time each section has been submitted in green. Does the link not work on your end??? Super confused...

There was an update to the portal in December I think? Don't know if they stopped forwarding people to the new portal?

I'm glad they sent out the email explaining the finaid process because i apparently messed something up at least i have time to fix it now

So the tufts info says parental information is necessary for institutional aid??? So I can’t get aid / grants from tufts without my parents financial information? My parents are completely uninvolved in my financial affairs and I don’t think would even give me this info if I asked them. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yeah, this seems to be true based on the info from the PowerPoint. I'd read over the Parent Information Requirement & Exceptions, it might give you more information :0

I truly wish they'd send out offers before financial aid information is needed. $25 is a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of the application fees I've spent, but if I don't even get an offer then it was just more money spent for nothing 🥲

It cost money?!?! Bruh I’m gonna crash out again. They had a $95 supplemental fee already did they not? $25 I guess is not big in the grand scheme but if they have 1500 people spending $25 that’s 37,000 in their pockets

I’m also upset about this bc it says that parent info is required even if they’re not contributing to us financially BUT THEN it says the info we provide is used to determine need. So how is telling them my no contact parents rich going to do anything but make me also look rich and cause them to give me no aid

The $25 is the fee to college board for the CSS profile, its not paid to the school. If your family makes under 100k then you qualify for the fee waiver, which should automatically apply

I make well under that but once again I don’t have access to parent information. I’m going to reach out to tufts to see what I should do :/ I literally haven’t spoke to my parents in 4 months and have doubt they’d put their egos aside enough to help me with this as they don’t support my choice to apply to vet school. Sigh .. hopefully the financial aid office can give me some insight

My Son did his FAFSA and because he is going to be in a doctoral program, he was required to do the FAFSA as an independent student. No parent info needed. It appears Tufts requires this parent info if you want any aid from Tufts. If you go to the link in one of the above posts, there is a guideline and process for exceptions to the parent requirement. You would still be eligible for federal student aid/ loans. Hopefully anyone who does not have access to parent info can get a waiver.

I believe the fee waver is only for undergraduate students 🙁

in one of the powerpoints there’s an option to submit a request to waive parental information!

Did anyone else get asked to share their fall transcripts?

Yea, saying the committee is choosing people for the upcoming class, and they would like my transcript to help them with their decision 🤷‍♂️
I wonder if not getting an email is a bad thing then 🥲

I sent mine in back in December since I took some fall classes, but they said it isn't required unless we want our gpa updated. Ugh, everything is confusing and stressful

I sent mine at the beginning of January just in case and they said they’d add it to my record. I’m so confused on the differing responses :/

my peer who applied as well was asked for her transcripts bc she finished her masters this semester and tufts doesn’t consider masters coursework or consider you a masters student until the degree is finished/conferred so they asked if she wanted that coursework/status to be updated she had to send her conferred degree transcript. I don’t have any coursework or updated transcripts to send BUT this pisses me off that they’re seemingly holding applicants to different standards by asking some for transcripts and not others. Talk about uneven expectations 😭😭😭

Did the people who got that email still take classes or not graduate? I didnt get the email and I'd like to tell myself its because I'm not in school and not bc i got rejected :')

They said it was added to my application and nothing else

i think it’s bc I applied with some of my pre reqs not completed, and said I would be taking those requirements in the fall. At least that’s what I’m telling myself😭

For comparisons sake, I did not get the email and I just graduated with my Bachelor's in December. I did not have any prereqs in progress either.

It makes sense that those of us who had pre reqs to do or had a masters program in process got an email to send them in to ensure that the classes were taken and passed. I think we are all good honestly!! If we didn’t get an email it’s probably because we didn’t have a courses in progress that they needed to see. I just sent mine to upgrade my gpa a bit. We got this guys only a few more weeks🎉

I still have prereqs in progress, but I sent them an application update about a week ago that included my fall transcript. Maybe that's why I didn't receive an email? I'm so stressed lol

I did not get the email. For context, I got reached out to in November because I was finishing my masters degree in the fall if I wanted to send my fall transcripts to them to count my masters GPA and degree. I sent it in December, and got confirmation they received it in January. I’m thinking that might be why I did not get an email, but now I’m nervous.

I didn't get an email, however I graduated in May 2023 and haven't taken any classes since then. I would try not to stress out about it. Maybe contact admissions and see if they have some insight?

I sent them an unofficial fall transcript a couple of weeks ago and was told it wasn't necessary and there was no need to add it to my record since my gpa would not be changed. I did not receive an email today asking for an official transcript. Wondering if I should be worried now since they seem to actually want the transcript from some people? This process is getting so confusing :/

I also did not get an email and graduated in May 2023. I had no pre-req courses in progress, just some extra classes to help my gpa

Thanks to everyone for the update omg... I hope this isn't bad news. I didn't get an email and I just finished my Ochem Lab prereq in the fall. My overall GPA also increased by .1 from the summer to now... Should I just send that in?

IS applicant with pending prereqs here, did not receive this email. I’m shakin’ in my boots now though!

I assume the email to apply for the dual DVM/MPH was sent to everyone? Overthinking everything after yesterday's confusion 🙃

I also did not get an email asking for transcripts, and also graduated in May 2024. I'm retaking a pre-req right now for a higher grade but Tufts doesn't know that

This is going to sound incredibly neurotic but if you made a YouTube video for your Tufts application you can look at the analytics and see when they watched your video. It kinda gave me peace of mind that I at least haven’t been thrown away just yet lol

For a brief moment I forgot you could have submitted an essay or a video and I was incredibly confused

I think most vet school applicants are a bit off the charts with neuroticism. You're in good company!

I’m looking for some insight. So…I called the admissions office to see if I could send my fall grades. She said while tufts does not require it they will update gpas. So she advised me if I did well I should send my grades. My VMCAS calculated gpa was a 3.46, my institution counted it as a 3.52 at time of admission. With my straight As this semester, it bumped my gpa up to a 3.58. I felt like it was really important for me to send the grades because my GPA was great freshman year, then dropped my sophomore and junior year. This is due to my previous undergrad institution closing. I literally had professors quit and lab partners quit mid class and this messed up my grades. All this to say I want them to see that now that I’m at a stable institution I have the ability to thrive academically. So last night on the zoom, we were told that they are going down a list of names and giving the applicants thorough reviews. I’m scared that they already passed my name and didn’t see my updated GPA. Do you think they get alerted to someone’s GPA updating? I apologize for the word vomit. I’m down to two schools (Tufts and Auburn) and I’m panicking. TIA
