I interviewed today and they were all very nice!

Also was not the kind of questions I was expecting. I def feel like I did well on most. Kinda went too long on a couple. Anyone know if they penalize you for not finishing the end of your last response?
 
Yeah, I have no idea how I did.. now we wait 😭😱
 
i honestly feel like i have NO idea how i did on my MMI. the type of questions really threw me off even though i’m pretty happy with how i answered. i just couldn’t tell AT ALL how they felt lol. i hate leaving an interview having no idea how i did

I 100% agree. The questions and the lack of conversation completely threw me off. Hopefully we all did half way decent. Now for the long wait.
 
Hello! Hope everyone did great on their MMIs! Does anyone know when we are supposed to hear back? Is there a definitive date?
 
Anyone else in the first interview group that has to do the rescheduled interview?
 
I think they split the rescheduled group into two, because mine is rescheduled for Friday AM.

Website says mid to late January. However, as the first interviews had technical problems so they still haven’t actually finished interviewing everyone, I imagine results could get pushed back.
 
Did anyone receive a portal message for an application improvement workshop being held in January?

Feeling nervous over here too! Just trying to distract myself, but failing a lot of the time.
 
When do we think they might send out decisions? I know they've only said by 1/31, and last year was 1/29 but that was when they had to wait for peoples' casper scores to come in which I don't think happened until sometime in January. This year MMIs were done by mid-December, so do we think they'll let us know on the earlier side of January like they have in the past with in person MMIs?

Most recent I could find was c/o 2020. It was 1/14.
 
Our return to campus for spring semester isn't for another week, so my guess is it probably won't be until mid to late January that they will start notifying!
 
Has that interview presentations link always been there? I haven't opened my portal in like a month and I'm wondering if maybe I'm just really unobservant lol

yo i actually just saw this a few days ago and thought the same thing. i don’t remember seeing it or i definitely would have watched it prior to my interview…

I remember seeing it right before the makeup interviews for the group that had to reschedule. I’m pretty sure it was not there prior to my interview.
 
They said on the emails that 1/31 was the date when they sent out interview email invites. Maybe whoever you were talking to switched the 1 and the 3


EDIT: I'm wrong here! I had convinced myself it was 1/31 but it's not!

The email said "by 1/31" which means it could be earlier! I checked the previous year c/o 2025 and it looks like last year they received decisions on 1/29 but their interviews were later. For c/o 2024 they interviewed around the same time as us this year and actually got their decisions on 1/13!

You're totally right! I just went to recheck the email and think the first time I read it I must have been so stressed I read it wrong! Fingers crossed we all have good news in a week! My bad!
 
sorry if this was already asked - but does uc davis allow you to change to in-state residency after a year or two? as vet school results are coming in, the fear of student debt is getting very real 🙁
 
I am also super anxious!! Does anyone know if we would get some sort of announcement on our portal beforehand about when they're calling people? I just need to know if I need to turn my phone on while at work lol! It would be nice to have confirmation from the school.
 
I doubt they will announce the exact date they’re calling people, and I don’t think they would call for rejections - that would be a tough job!
 
Does anyone know if they call everyone on one day or divided into a couple of days?
 
They will typically make all calls on one day & usually its later in the afternoon/early evening after the students who make the calls are done with classes. If you miss the call I believe they try calling again after they've gone through their list the first time. Regardless of if you answer, they will post the official offer of acceptance on your portal a day or so after!

I did not realize that students make the calls. That is really nice!
 
I am thinking that today might not be the day as no one has heard anything yet. In past years there were people who started hearing a bit before 9am.

Last year they called me after 4pm pacific time (and I lived in Chicago). Was told that students making the calls do after their classes, so I won't give up hope until the day is actually over 🙂
