They are supposedly meeting tomorrow (Thursday) to put together a class! Get neurotic, guys and girls! I would say excited, but this isn't exciting yet, just terrifying and stomach-ulcer inducing.
I found out today that all three of my LOR's have been contacted. That's got to be good news, right?!!!

Stalking the mailbox. Who thinks letters will arrive tomorrow?? It's killing me!!
I was under the impression that they were meeting tomorrow to decide on the rest of the class... meaning the soonest they would probably send letters is Monday... depending on how close you are to UGA, I predict that people will start seeing letters towards the end of next week.
Same for me actually! I have a couple of friends who got into UGA last year, so if I get accepted I'm sure I'll be bugging them a whole bunch while trying to make the final Auburn/UGA decision.I would like to hear from UGA so I can know where I will be in 5 months. Athens or Auburn? Money wise that's an easy decision...but otherwise it will be super difficult if its a decision I have the opportunity to make. (Read: if UGA decides to let me in this time).
Everybody check their email because I just got accepted as an OOS!!!!!!

I'm at large!Wow!! Congratulations Are u contract or at-large? Will check my email now and report back if anything is there! ( I am in state)
A first year DVM student and friend told me earlier that letters did indeed go out today! Everyone's letters!
Anyone heard anything yet? My mail hasn't come yet today!!
I'm in state. Like an hour and a half from Athens. I don't think I can wait until Monday!!

Also, I met with Dr. Carmichael when I visited Athens a few weeks ago. They mentioned they were sending acceptances for the top applicants soon. My email said "You are among our top applicants here at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and have been selected for early admission to the Class of 2017."
I was also told that this year they had space for 16 out of state students, which is much higher than it has been in the past --I was told WV didn't buy the seats they normally buy.
I already accepted my spot! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back. I'm waiting to get my acceptance in the mail 🙂
I definitely think so 🙂 I didn't think I would get in... But I guess this is my last winder in NY for a little while 🙂
No mail today. Ill be camping under the mailbox on Monday though!
Out of curiosity, any chance those of you accepted would indulge the rest of us with your stats?
This is copied and pasted from what I posted in the successful applicants c/o 2017 thread:

Personal Statement
I did not use any specific situational example, but I discussed how my interest in veterinary medicine developed through my undergrad and work-related experiences and how all of my experiences (veterinary and non-veterinary related) have contributed to my preparation for the DVM program. I talked about my fascination with medicine and why I chose veterinary medicine over human medicine. I also discussed my current goals with a DVM degree, my understanding of my options, and how I am nonetheless keeping the door open to other options as I move through the professional program. I made sure to use direct statements asserting stuff about myself with evidence to back it up.
So that was basically my application - I acknowledge that I applied as a junior and am very fortunate to be able to head to veterinary school next Fall!
Well here is (hopefully!) a little bit of hope. I am interested in both a PhD and the DVM (infectious diseases of food animals)

It's almost TOMORROW. Not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight. Or function in class tomorrow....! 😱
Really not sure how I'm going to face it if I have to sign in tomorrow and say I was rejected, ha. 😳
On that note, good luck everyone! Best wishes tomorrow!!👍👍👍
Good luck to you too!! At least I've been able to keep my mind off of it because I've been swamped this weekend finishing my senior research project and taking care of a new puppy. Hopefully tomorrow brings good news to us all!
You're still a better man/woman than me! Ha. I worked on my senior seminar all weekend with frequent panic breaks!
New puppy!? What kind? If today brings bad news, my dog and I have a date with a bottle of wine, haha.
She's a yellow lab/pitbull/boxer mix. She was in a litter of 11, and they were going to go to the humane society if they weren't adopted, so 6 friends and I adopted a bunch of them.
Now I'm sitting in biochem anxiously awaiting the mail... At least I don't have class tomorrow, so I can celebrate/grieve accordingly.
Aww, that's precious! Good for you, rescuing puppies!
I just want to go sit under the mailbox. But with my luck, it won't come today - or it will end up at my parents house.
You're IS, right? You got this!😀
