So I couldn't take it anymore and finally called Baylor today. I had interviewed on September 9 and assumed they would have decided on my application already, but was told I'm "still in the review process, and the committee won't know until February."

Rumor had it that Baylor meets to discuss right after the interviews, so I'm guessing they had alread decided on the acceptances. Is it safe to assume I'm on hold or a wait-list?:scared:

I wouldn't worry about it. They probably tell that to everyone. Unless, of course, they actually took the time to put you on hold, look up your file, and THEN tell you that you were still under review, in which case, it probably means you're on hold. Sorry guy. This is why I don't call, because I don't want to cry at night...

They definitely looked up my file...
🙁

Once again, look up the definition of "rolling admissions" (or just take a look at the other thread that was started about this yesterday.) If they're saying that you will know something for sure by Feb., that is an improvement over last year.

Call them and tell them you have a friend named Andrew Jackson that would like them to take another look at your app.

Side note: congrats on your acceptance already to UMich.

Be happy 🙂 relax

I haven't even gotten an interview from Baylor, but I haven't been rejected either.

Welcome to the LIMBO my friend. 🙁

You already got into one good school, relax a little bit

cmon homie, hes just being a humblemd, dont hate--procreate

Heh, thanks for the encouragement guys. Baylor's my #1 and I was really hoping to hear from them this week. It's looking like no one's been accepted yet on the Official acceptance thread, so I'm still keeping my hopes up. The other ridiculousness of my worry I just realized, is that there are schools who haven't even begun to interview applicants yet, so maybe I should slow down...

Wow, HumbleMD, did they fake you out or what?

What time did they call? (Yes, Jota, I know I shouldn't be wondering. 😛 )

I really hope Baylor has some more phone calls to make this week...:scared:

Heh, yeah, it was a fake out indeed. They called me today at about 6:00pm EST. I was sitting in a coffee shop studying for an exam tomorrow (have definitely lost all motivation now). It was an "unknown" or blocked call, and I answered it with a suspicion it may be Baylor, and it was! So, make sure your phone accepts calls from blocked numbers guys.

Dude Congrats on the Baylor acceptance! If you decide to go to Baylor, mind giving me your Michigan one??

If that doeshappen, please give up your EVMS acceptance to someone who has a Vermont acceptance. then I'll get into vermont. Oh the circle of life....

I know my school has rolling admissions. I was told last year, that they initially discuss the applicants in basically the same order that they interview. Then, they take a vote on whether to accept/reject the applicant. In order to be accepted or rejected, you had to have something like 9/12 committee votes for/against your acceptance. If you didn't met the magic number then you were put in a seperate pile to be discussed after all applicants had been interviewed, then they would review all applicants a second time in alphabetical order and make 2nd/3rd cuts, etc. I hope this makes since. Don't count yourself out of the game so early.

Oh no, I'm so sad now. I interviewed on the same day and I didn't get a phone call today. =(

I don't want to be a false hope bringer, but think about it. It will take the dean a while to call all the acceptees. He's a dean so I doubt he has 4 hours to sit around and make phone calls. I wouldn't call yourself out until Friday.
