How do you know where I live, what I do or do not attend, and what I am affiliated with ?
Surely you do not think that the world at UCSF is rotating around its pharmacy school. Or maybe, you do. Then, we have to deal with the clinical aspects of such a viewpoint.
Most of my time nowadays I spend in Berkeley, but I own a house in SF.
Actually, what is trolling ? Is it anything that you do not like ? Is this a reflection of the "professional" state of mind that Mary Anne is instilling in her students ?
Yes. I feel your pain. 🙁
I know we won't hear anything until Mar/April, I don't know why I am so nervous checking mails! 🙁
I guess waiting is the hardest part!
Haha mine was on the 1/28. So I have been secretly hoping for a while hahahaha!
I have been trying to keep myself busy and not think about the results, but it's really hard not to...🙁((
Bruin, I probably passed by you on the 28th? Mine was at 11:30.

what they (i think) do is admit exactly 122 people and then put a bunch of others on a ranked waitlist. If any of the original 122 turn down ucsf then they admit people off the waitlist so that they always have 122 offers out at one time.do you think chances are slimmier this year? he said they are interviewing 275 people. it is kind of weird that they have classes of exactly 122 or do they just aim for that number?
yea, i keep thinking i should have said a lot of things differently 🙁

let's round and say a 50/50 shot (esp counting people they'll probably pull off the waitlist). that's up from <10% before you get an interview. so i agree, stay positive and see the glass as half fullTwo people declined the interview. So it will be 122/273.
Guys! relax!!! 45% is not bad!
Lets stay positive!

what can we do to distract ourselves? want to play 20 questions? 👍
Bruin, thanks for the cute video! hahaha
making me want to have dogs!![]()
Yes, I think UCSF did a good job at individualizing the interviews. I know some people who received a lot of situational questions, but mine were more introspective. I think it depends on what you wrote in your secondary essays, as well as what your interviewers want to know about you.
lol i guess i'm the opposite. never had a skin test, but my eyelids start swelling around cats and i start sneezing and everything. but i've never had any problems with dogs and those corgis are absolutely adorable! i've concluded that cats are evil, they are so durn cute but misleading.
Dogs are more fun to play with! in my personal opinion! 😀
Oh guys, do not get a heart attack or anything, they are sending out Thank you letters after the interview. Mine was postmarked on Feb 11 and just received today. So be aware! 🙂
btw pathology, were they personalized in any way?
According to Joel's blog, it seems like this past Friday was the last day of interview. I thought Feb 25 would be the last day...
If the 18th was the last day of interview...we might hear the results sooner? hahaha Just a wishful thought! 😉
Does anyone know on average how mang people usually end up being on the waiting list and how many of them are able to get admitted eventually?
If it was predictable they would probably accept more than 122 students. since ucsf's competition is the other cali schools, how many they would accept off the wait list depends on other school's admission, like for example how many people get off USC's wait list and rather go there. it's unpredictableness (new word?) dependent on other unpredictable stuff.I think the number varies from year to year...there is really no way to predict it.
i remember checking past year posts...some ppl heard as early as march 6th!! So we might have some notices by next week!
That sounds like an exciting news!
Last year people heard rejections starting on 3/5 and acceptance starting on 3/11...A month of waiting already killed me half way 😛
March starts tomorrow, so good luck everyone! 👍
