Nothing in Nebraska morning. Have wait till tomorrow

Congrats peeps! Meanwhile I have this job thing that keeps me from running home to my mailbox right now...typically I avoid the mailbox cause it's only bills

I have to wait until after work. I am on lunch and wish I could just run home and check but with my luck, the mail wouldn't be here yet.

Same! At work then class! And I'm not entirely sure as to which address it is going to anyway (school or permanent are both on my VMCAS)....

that's my issue right now! I'm in class and having my dad run home to check the mail on his lunch break. BLAHHH!

Right there with you guys! Last week it was my WI letter sitting in my mailbox while I had to work until 6, this week it's torture by IL letter!

Ah same! Work till 6 then hour drive home! I hope we all get a nice letter to come home too!

I'm hoping the mail comes before I have to leave for work..... But my mailman likes to come at random times 🙁 so it's looking more likely that my parents will open it before I get home

my mail person is also random...

I am in Vermont right now, my letter is either coming here or to Connecticut.......... I hate having to wait, especially because they are my top choice! Congrats to everybody thus far!!!!

I'm in eastern PA. Currently at school and my boyfriend is supposed to get the mail soon and text me... thinking it'll be there tomorrow.

ACCEPTED! I had the chance to leave work early... So I did, just so I could check my mail.
OOS, got my letter in Maryland!

I'm definitely going here, and I look forward to meeting the rest of our class. :soexcited:

Just got my acceptance letter! (OOS suburb of Washington DC) plain white envelope with 3 sheets of paper in it

No letter in Chicago...hope it didn't go to my previous address

Accepted! IS in suburb of Chicago (Aurora). I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Plus, does anyone know of a website/database for finding roommates? Thanks!
Congrats on all the acceptances! I'm so excited to see you this fall. 😀 Anyone on the waitlist--don't give up hope, IL's waitlists do see movement.

As for the roommate question: ASA will make an official class Facebook page for everyone in the coming months. Students from other classes will probably post there looking for roommates and you can connect there as well. The Village and The Place are apartment complexes that many vet students use first year and will also help match you to roommates if you want.

OOS accepted 🙂

Now I have to deliberate what school I'm going to choose! Eek this is going to be tough.

Current students: could anyone answer a question for me? I'm getting married in May and my husband is moving with me to vet school. He will establish residency and work full time. At the info session, Dr. Foreman said something along the lines of that you can switch to in state tuition if your spouse is working and a resident for a year. Do you know how hard this is to accomplish?

Thanks! And congrats everyone!

Thanks so much for the info! I was looking at The Place too.

It's easy to accomplish. I did it. You fill out a form that goes to the main campus and viola! Petition for residency completed.

Thank you for the reply 🙂 that's something that will go on my "pro" list

Anyone know if Illinois would consider sending me my letter via email? I won't be back to my "current address" for another 1.5 weeks, so it would be great to know sooner than that... :/

Is it true that you are either waitlisted or accepted? There is no rejections at this point?

That's how it was 2 & 3 years ago. Once you made it to interview day, those were your 2 options.

What are my chances of getting off the waitlist tho, I feel with Illinois already doubling the amount the accept for OOS, the shots are slim! :/

I got my envelope but I'm to scared to open it. I haven't been accepted anywhere this cycle and Illinois is my last shot. I just really don't want to be disappointed, especially since I don't think my interview went very well 🙁.
