Ok, first time poster, long time lurker...

Any idea when IS interview requests are sent out?!

And as I'm quietly sitting here, sipping on my wine and reviewing the admissions guide, I noticed this sentence:
"A few applicants whose academic score and non-academic score based on the written application and reference letters are exceptionally high may be accepted without an interview."
Has this actually happened? More out of curiosity (and boredom) than anything!

I think IS interviews are usually late February. I think some even got pushed to March last year due to bad weather. I'd say you should hear soon in regards to IS interviews. If anyone has more info on it, please post! I'm not very knowledgeable on the IS stuff. I also have no idea about being accepted without an interview (the only thing I can think of is through the early admittance that Mizzou has when you come from high school... pre-vet scholars I think it is called? They interview during high school and are not re-interviewed when it is time to start vet school).
 
Ah, gotcha. That makes more sense.

The wait is killing me so I'm double and triple checking everything to do with timelines, admissions, etc :/ Because that will make it better, right?

We all like to think that it makes the wait better 😉
 
IS interviews typically do extend into March anyway. But yeah, a few more weeks until they begin for sure 🙂

You are correct, Rainheart!

I am IS. My interview invite from last year was dated January 23, so I would think you all should be getting your interview dates soon. My original interview was late February but was moved to mid March due to bad weather. IS decision letters were dated the last week of March.

I hope so! I changed my address to my parents because I feel like their mail has always been more reliable. Does anyone know how long it takes for letters to get to houses after they have been mailed? Is it a few days or more like a week?

My nails are so short from me constantly biting them :dead:
 
If they send them out on the 29th <which I think is what they said the earliest was???> then I think we should all get them by Friday, if not Thursday.

On last year's thread it looked like anywhere from 2-4 days.
 
Does anyone know if they send rejections through snail mail the same time they do the acceptances and waitlisted letters? I am hoping not to see one, but I am just curious.

Yes, they sent all decisions that way. From my understanding an acceptance comes in a larger envelope.
 
Ahhhhhh!!! So excited for you guys!!! Last year everyone started getting letters on thurs/ friday and mine didnt come until Monday... It was miserable!!! I thought for sure I had been rejected lol Stupid mail almost gave me a heart attack! cant wait to see all the acceptances rolling in!

Of course I'll be traveling for another interview Fri/Sat and it will probably come when I'm gone.... 😵 I've already set rules for my dad not to touch my mail and not to tell me what size the envelope is. haha This is so exciting!! I loved Mizzou so much!

I'll be traveling for another interview those days as well. My parents are coming with me so I will have no way to know until I return!

I'm a first time poster, but I finally had to create an account because I'm so nervous! I calculated the stats (209 interviewed and 120-130 OOS acceptances) and there is a 57-62% chance of receiving an acceptance based just on interviewing, which is good. I even called the post office today to see what time they were delivering my mail - 3:30 can't come fast enough! I know it probably won't come in today, but I still have some hope.
 
I think 209 were offered interviews, but not all came. Kathy has said that they will interview about 175-180 or so, so I think your chances are a bit better than that! Good luck!!

Also, does anyone else get wiggy when they see Mizzou/Missouri things out in the real world?
I'm always like "IT'S A SIGN!@$%" When I see Missouri plates or someone wearing a Mizzou shirt
 
Freaking out guys!! So scared for that initial moment I open the mailbox and see what the envelope looks like lol

Oh man, you have no idea!! After I got accepted (and before I heard from my IS), I saw so many signs!! Mind you, I'm from Virginia, where I'd never even heard of Mizzou before I applied. The best one was a car with the license plate MIZZOU from Virginia that I saw twice in one day. Crazy how things work! Fingers crossed for everyone here!!
 
Im am anxiously, impatiently, nervously waiting!! Hahaha! I felt very much at home at Mizzou and would love to see the big acceptance in the mailbox 😍

One of my best friends is originally from Missouri so I constantly see these things, haha.
 
Haha I have not seen a single Mizzou thing... Hope that isn't a sign!
 
Just feeling the need to chime in that I feel exactly the same as all of you! =) and I am very glad that I checked this thread... haven't checked in a couple weeks, and hadn't emailed Kathy myself... so I, of course, was assuming the worst.... (not to mention my cable bill from last month never arrived in the mail... thankfully different address, but still -.-) Cant wait till this evening/early next week!! Good Luck all!!
 
I had a similar situation as kpow last year. I didn't get mine until Tuesday and I was convinced I wasn't getting in.

I totally wore my Kpow shirt today... Its amazing how much that nickname has caught on lol

I saw all the new posts on this thread and thought for sure yall had gotten letters today! Hopefully tomorrow starts the good news! Too bad the mail doesnt run on sunday bc there will definitely be some stragglers!
 
No letter for me today either 🙁 I go out of town tomorrow so I called the post office and they said I could pick up my mail for tomorrow in the morning. Hopefully it will be there!
