I didn't either (I never did FAFSA) that is probably why. I doubt decisions are coming out today at this point. They probably decided yesterday (earliest) and will send it tomorrow.

I just called USC admissions, they have a meeting to decide who is getting in or not Tomorrow ...so relax everyone nothing will be coming today

Hi Nvb915. Did they say how they would be contacting us? Email vs. snail mail?

Thanks!

Someone earlier posted that they were supposed to have that meeting Monday (yesterday) though. I wonder what's the delay. I have turned in fafsa and supplemental apps few months back and have not gotten any fin aid emails from usc.

haven't received any financial aid emails.

I am about to explode.

I don't think the financial aid e-mails should matter. I probably got it because I completed my FAFSA early.

I did my FAFSA too but no emails at all.

I think you are accepted already.

I received the email for FAFSA too but I got it before receiving an interview. But I don't know if that email counts as spam....

Ahhh I got the spamming financial aid e-mails! :xf: Hope you're right 😛

if you don't mind me asking, what do the emails say? and how many? I'm asking because I did my FAFSA in Feb but never submitted the supplemental docs for USC... they sent me one email to send them before my interview.. but I still did't. I don't think financial aid should affect their decision right?

The financial aid emails have nothing to do with getting in, it's just by chance that it happened that way.

They told me Wednesday they will decide who gets in, and acceptances are done by snail mail and AC's done by email.

They also said whoever is AC after the last interview will soon find out if they are waitlisted or rejected.

I got an e-mail from the financial aid office this morning asking for additional information. I really think it's no big deal. The e-mail even says, "PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, PLEASE NOTE: This notice is not an indicator of an admission decision. Financial aid information is gathered and reviewed for all financial aid applicants, regardless of admission status." So as much as I wanted a guarantee of admission...it's nothing to be happy about 👎

Yeah, I think so as well. Let's just hope we all get in!! :xf:

From my own experience I received a plain financial aid email that had an attachment that said something along the lines "Fin_aid_new_stdt_admit_email" and then I received the big yellow packet the very next day in the mail. But that email was VERY PLAIN. The next day when I received my packet, they sent me another financial aid email (the generic colorful one) that I received weeks ago after I completed my FAFSA. Hope that helps.

My e-mail was nothing like that 🙁

I think everyone should just wait for the official letter stating your status instead of trying to decode FA emails. I think it makes people uneasy and anxious (more so than they are now). I don't think anyone should worry until that first person receives their acceptance letter.

Good luck to everyone and stay positive! :luck:

Knowing that my life could change this week is really trippin me out. Anyone else losing sleep over this? This is my 2nd year interviewing @ USC in a row, I have very little faith in this "active consideration" business... I feel like its IN or OUT this week. I've never hoped so hard for good news. :luck::xf::xf::luck:

I feel exactly the same way...I really hope we get in..this is too much torture already:luck::xf:

既期待又怕受傷害!!!:bang:

Earlier, someone said the admissions people were meeting on Monday. Then someone else said they are meeting today. If I hear that the meeting has been changed to Friday, I'm going to lose it! 😱

Let's hope we all hear some good news soon. :xf:

If you received an e-mail from the Financial Aid office stating that you need to send your [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Geneva]"Tax Return, Federal 2010 - Student". You're in. If it requires .[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Geneva]"Supplemental Form", I think you have to wait. The Supplemental Form was sent long before the TAX Return. Hope it helps. Hang in there guys; a couple days left.

No, but I had submitted a nonfiling statement when I did the fin aid stuff in January.

No, but I received an email about sending my parent's tax returns. I sent a non-filing statement form awhile back already.

Emails from the financial aid office keeps everyone in suspense!!! 😛

No, I used to be pre-medical (three years ago). Anyway, that's how I got in USC pharmacy. Sorry for the confusion. Gluck guys!

Good things come to those that wait. We got this guys. Let's stay positive 🙂

Just got off the phone with Jim, he said the letters were made today, but did not make today's mail. They will be sent off first thing tomorrow morning, which means we get them either Saturday or Monday.

Do you think we can call and ask if we got in?

I don't know lol.. I was definitely thinking about asking him.. but I figured he would have told me if he could have, no? I don't know.

They are closed now, greattt now we have to wait till the weekend, maybe we can call tomorrow morning

I don't think they will give admissions decisions over phone. I remember I tried that when I had applied there for my undergrad and they told me they are not allowed to release decision results over the phone.
