To all UWSOM applicants,

Anyone else currently on the "competitive" list? Can we do anything at this point to help our status? Ace this quarter and Spring quarter? Volunteer at the hospital? Anything?

Have you guys heard of anyone actually getting in after thier April notification? What did he/she do?

I'd say do what you can... acing your last quarters always helps. They said that they will accept updated info on what you've been doing since the interview later in the spring...so thats something to think about. Also, they give "rejection interviews," which you are eligible for as you're on the competitive list. These can help a lot. A friend who is a 2nd year at UWSOM has said she knows plenty of people who got in off the "competitive list." Hang tight... :wink:

You interview with Werner Samson, Chairman of the Admissions committee. He is very honest and direct with you so be prepared to hear things you may not want to know. It is useful if there is something concrete that can be changed, but sometimes there is no good advice to be given due to the subjective nature of the process. Good luck to you.
