Yup, every other school I applied to has communicated with me at this point. I already have an acceptance so it's not like I need Penn but it's just... bizarre. Literally every other school would send me informational emails or updates about my application status, Penn sent NOTHING other than "Hey can you use this link to pay us?" then "Thanks we received your money." No updates, nothing. I honestly forgot about them since they seemed to care so little. Honestly at this point I don't even want to interview or anything, the way they have just been radio silent this whole time other than to ask for my money is a huge negative in my eyes.

It's honestly shocking to me that they didn't even have the decency to send me a denial letter. Really tells a lot about their priorities and how much they seem to care tbh.
Did you get the confirmation email for the receipt of your application? There was one that sorta explained the time line...

Yeah one saying they got the app but they need my money, then another saying they got my money. That's it.

I've checked my email frequently so I highly doubt I missed it.
it was titled PennVet Acknowledgement Letter

woah i had a completely different experience! they started off by saying they were gonna ask me 5 generic questions, and that every student interviewing would be asked those same questions. then after those main questions they asked about a specific experience on my application and i had time to ask them questions too. i’m so sorry you had a negative experience, that sounds super stressful!!!
I had this experience except they only asked me the five questions. Nothing personal at all about my application or otherwise

How long was the interview?

How long was the interview?
mine was about half an hour. they didn't seem super duper strict about the time limit, as in they didn't just kick me off as soon as 30 minutes had gone by, but they did remind me of the time limit a few times during the interview very casually. for example, once we had gotten through the main questions and there was an opportunity for me to ask questions, my interview said "well it looks like we have about 5 minutes left so go ahead and ask us any questions you have!" so yeah not super strict but also still trying to keep that 30 minute limit in mind

How long was the interview?
But also don’t be worried if yours is short. Mine was only 20 min cause they wanted to quickly go through the first 5 questions to have time to ask specific questions. I think I felt a little rushed so gave quick and concise answers and was worried, but I still got in.

Got OOS interview invite yesterday at 11:08 AM for 2/26. Honestly didn't expect it at all! Half overjoyed that I get a chance but half dying because i thought all the stressful interviews were behind me lol

I just got a robo call from a Pennsylvania number. Cruel world this is.

Do we think acceptance calls will still happen today on Presidents Day? I wonder if admissions has off today

I’m wondering maybe if that’s the case. Has anyone heard anything today?

I still haven’t heard anything and interviewed on Friday... is that a bad sign?

Not necessarily - I didn't get the call until after 5 on Tuesday (and by that point I had given up hope). As mkg said above - some people also didn't hear until Wednesday. Depends on your interviewer's schedule!

I haven’t heard anything, no interview or rejection letter. I think I do need to be concerned now.

Have you reached out to admissions? I know they sent out some rejections, unsure when though. Admissions will be able to give you an idea of if they are still interviewing people or not, I think they have interviews until the end of the month so maybe they will be sending out some as soon as they know who is and isn't accepting their interview invites.

Thanks for the info

Hey when did those of you who already interviewed find out your official interview time? I know it's somewhere between 9:30 and 12:00, but I'm just wondering

They should send you a follow up email a few days ahead of time with the separate zoom link

do they call with rejections or only acceptances? I missed the call (was taking an exam) but the voicemail sounds optimistic... don't want to get my hopes up though. After acceptance calls, how soon did the email come in? I am literally sitting here refreshing my email and staring at my phone waiting for it to ring again lol

phone calls are only acceptances!!! the email comes a day or two after the phone call

Does Penn offer any Spanish classes?
I wanna say there’s one class that’s like a Spanish medical terminology thing. I might be making that up but I swear I heard something about that. Otherwise no.

Did everyone else receive something by now? I haven't

I haven’t received anything either. I’m an equine science major. Anyone else that hasn’t received anything are you small or large animal?

I haven't heard anything either. Has someone emailed admissions yet if they haven't hear anything? I'm debating sending an email today lol.

Hey can someone who was in the Financial aid presentation yesterday give me a summary for the info they provided on the pre-matticulation scholarships offered, and the likelihood of us getting them? Due to the weather the session today was cancelled and I have been anxiously awaiting this info since my acceptance 🙃

You guys are likely waitlisted for interviews if someone cancels in the next two weeks for the last sessions.
I wonder why then some people got their rejection letters a few days ago versus some still not getting anything?

Hey guys! I just finished my interview, and I haven't sent a follow up thank you email to any of my pervious interviewers, but what is everyone's opinion on that? Should I send one or is it unnecessary?

unnecessary - they're already super busy and meeting lots of applicants

I don’t think it can hurt. I emailed them and one of them even replied. Worst case scenario they ignore it.

Not really necessary. I sent an email to my interviewers but I’m just an anxious person. They decide same-day so likely before they would have even seen your email.

Ahh! Just finished my interview. Last one of the cycle for me! Super anxious waiting on Penn and Tufts..
