hi,
I called Upenn yestd and was told that my appliaction is still beibg reviewed, I sent it a month back. Do you think there is any chance of getting an interview call from them?

I got interview call fron Bu and how do I know if the interview is not for waitlist?

Upenn usually calls most of its applicants for the interview.so i m sure u will be called.someone had mentioned that last year they had interviewed 350 applicants and accepted 35.All d best!!

As for BU, i dont think that the interview is for the waiting list.Why dont you call them and find out?Someone whom i know was interviewed in April but was accepted.So dont worry. I suggest that u go for the interview and just do your best.

i applied last year, intevied, i got number in wait list, but did not get an admission. I applied this year, but i did not hear anything from them, though i sent it very early in july

This year they have 450 applicants( I think only those they call for interviews) and 35 seats!thats what we were told.They said on an average they have an interview 2 times sometimes even 3 times(rare) within a week and the number is about 6-7 per interview .Their interviews go on till march.Also the selection process is such that those who are interviewed in sept and oct will be shortlisted till Ist week of nov and only 10 will be chosen.Similarly those who are interviewed in the next 2 months will know by jan 1 st week and again only 10 people wll be selected from that slot.So this goes on till march .So good thing is 😉 their seats dont fill up and even if you have an interview later on you have equal chances of being selected.Hope that helps to cheer you up srestha. 👍 👍

Just be yourself ,they dont ask any technical questions .Be ready to talk about your self and be honest and frank .Dont say anything you cant defend or explain at the same time expect to be cross questioned so be honest.Hope that helps.Good luck.

The interview is very easy. They ask only personal questions about your life in USA, your work here, your goals, if you like the city, the weather. Just be honest.

If you have applied last week then I dont think you will hear so soon from them. their deadline is jan 21st, so ur not late, but since they have rolling admissions, it would be late. I have 89 P1, 263 TOEFL. 3.4 GPA
2 yr work experience in India.
I really dont know ifI have anything to hope for. I am just trying my luck.

hey thanks for the prompt reply..acually i was asking about the work experience in US..there is a column in upenn application in which they r asking for work experience in US( dental or non dental related work)..i have left that colum blank as i have work experience only in india..anyways i just have to keep my fingers crossed..thanks once again
