For any of the people going there right now: do most students enjoy being there? i got the feeling from the students on the interview day that most people were fairly miserable...and those were the ones who cared enough to be involved...?

I work in a hospital where some of UT's students rotate through for clinicals (mostly second years). None of them have been miserable and I've talked to second years, third years, a fourth year, and a resident.

I know what you mean. I got that feeling too when I was there.

i got an interview invite from UT southwestern, but havent turned in my secondary application yet. is that common? the secondary deadline is passed, should i still turn it in and attend the interview?
i wouldn't want the hassle of flying way out there and interviewing and have them realize that i submitted my secondary late and not consider me.
advice? thanks in advance =)

That's odd, because (while it didn't seem to be a cakewalk by any means) the students I ate lunch with seemed normal (busy, but not miserable.) They were able to talk about intramural sports teams they'd been playing on (during MSI) and everything... I thought it was rather encouraging.

I often wonder how much luck-of-the-draw factors into the impression we walk away with from interview days... just a few conversations with different people could put a totally different spin on the day.

you really should ask Admissions about this, yikes.

As for the main post, I don't know what to say. I know in my case I've been quite happy except for a couple of sleepless nights last week of memorizing anatomy facts ;o)

When did you interview, OP?

Wow, I hope I'm the only one that didn't feel that way and that everyone who did ranks UTSW low so I can get in. I thought the school was great.
