Current student. I met the GPA requirement, as well as about 60 others in my class for the December benchmarks. I can tell you this. The program is not an easy in for med school. You will have to put in work. That being said, that is the entire point. To help prepare students for medical school curriculum and get them into med school, helping you learn how to perform well in classes and improve your studying. If you slack off, or decide to not put in 100%, then it might be hard to you to meet the GPA requirements. Plus, how well/quickly you learn, or your previous exposure to the subjects all factor in also. Needless to say, this program is hard, but it is not impossible. I think last year, there was about 90-110 of the ~125 that made it by May. Some students drop, some don't meet benchmarks, and some decide to do PA or pod school. One of my classmates made a great point during week one that stuck with me. It is only ~10 months of my life. If I give 100% and fail, I can say that at least I tried, because I would rather try and not succeed than slack off and fail, knowing I could have done better.
