yeah, i'm keeping my finger crossed
but i do think we shouldn't be *too* hopeful. just think of it as something that would be nice to have, but don't bank on it. hopefully most of us have a great second choice (san diego for me).
just think about it. how many sdn people already flat out got in -- i think it was around 10? and how much of the premed population actually goes on sdn: not a big percentage. so the accepted number is probably pretty high. now out of this, how many are going to say no to ucla -- probably not a high percentage either. most people i know that are applying to ucla have it as their first choice, and if not, as their second choice behind ucsf. so that leaves a few spots left for us -- us, meaning, the hundreds and hundreds it seems are on the waiting list. anyways, i don't mean to be pessimistic!
, i am just being realistic.
ucla is my dream school by far; always has been -- but i'm not going to sit around moping about coming so close but not close enough. instead, i'm going to be very excited about going to san diego and if the call comes, great. if it doesn't, that's okay too

•dont worry matthew. like someone said earlier, it's possible more ppl are placed on the waitlist because of this year's amcas problems.
since so many people want to go to ucla med, it should be their experience knowing they dont need to place that many people on the waitlist to fill their class. they're probably just taking more caution this year.•••••
