I know, but to get the word out about the thread in time. All the threads have been started ahead of time, so I figured to start that one about a week ahead of time as well and share in all the school threads. In the past few years some ended up hearing a few days before the deadline, so no harm in starting early

This is going to be a long two weeks! I have my prayers going for everybody on here! I know from experience how bad it hurts to be flat out rejected so here is to hoping everyone on here gets off their waitlist

Yeah! Fingers crossed on my end for everyone on here too! Hopefully good thoughts and positive vibes will get us all some good news!

Yeah it sucks cause you try to remain positive but you try not to get your hopes up all at the same time... It's a tricky line right in between there lol

I started to share that the thread exists in all the applicant threads, but I only made it up to UPenn before I was stopped for spamming. I didn't realize people could see it without me doing that. My bad. If you see any one asking about waitlist movement however, feel free to share the thread!

What is the "portal" option for contacting alternates on the waitlist survivors forum?
 
I've declined offers over the last few weeks at Cornell, WSU, and Wisconsin, so hopefully spots should be opening up there!
 
Anybody heard anything from Kansas State University?

Does anyone know how Auburn's waitlist normally moves? I'm one of 6 on their waitlist for Kentucky students
 
Idk if any of you are on LMU waitlist, but I turned down my seat a while back. Hopefully someone on here gets it.
 
I just wonder how the waitlists even move if the schools already offer double the seats (OOS) for example Illinois has 60 OOS seats and offers 120 applicants admission. I feel like that's a huge number of people to deny their offer to even get waitlist movement. That's 60+ applicants

Is that like that everywhere?

Well, just think about how many people post on here that they got multiple acceptances. They can only go one place in the end.

I know how you feel. However they did accept more than the class size, so I don't think asking on the Kansas thread who has denied a spot will help much. Plus, there isn't much reason to continue to follow a thread for a school after you deny a spot, so I feel like most of the sdn people who have denied are unlikely to answer.

I'm waiting on Kansas too, so I get it, I really do. I'm not accepted anywhere, only wait listed. I'm just trying not to think about it otherwise the 15th will come a lot slower. And it's not like Kansas is known to make all their calls on the first day. Unfortunately, the 15th is a Friday so I'm trying to stay relaxed and think I'll probably get called the following Monday.

Yeah I'm kinda feeling the same way, I don't think I will be getting a call on the 15th even if I do get off the list. I'm really truly hoping I do but I'm trying not to get my hopes up I am also not accepted anywhere else only waitlisted 🙁
 
Yeah Dr. Elmore told me I was high on their alternate list and would very likely get offered a position after April 15th, I hope they make some phone calls on the 16th but I am not too hopeful to hear anything until the next week or two

Yea, we've talked about how he told both of us this. I'm not banking on them making weekend phone calls.
I'm technically on three wait lists but realistically Kansas State is the only one I'd be pulled from. I'd probably choose it out of the others if I was pulled from all anyway. It's a great fit for me.

I'm in the same boat. No acceptances and 2 wait list 🙁
 
And don't be too distraught if you are not called on the fifteenth. I received an email from Florida reminding students that calls will be made AFTER the fifteenth once they have a firm idea of class size, seeing as how people can accept and send a deposit as long as it is postmarked by the fifteenth.

I understand its rough waiting on the wait lists, but hang in there! I do have an acceptance, but I like some of my "potential" options and I do understand the stress of not knowing.

You've got this! A couple more weeks!

When did you receive that email from Florida?
 
Hey everyone. I need some advice. I'm wait listed at two schools. At this point, I've already started looking for jobs since I'm not going to put my life on hold on the chance of getting off those wait lists. I'm wondering if I should let my potential employers know that I am waiting to hear back from schools and that I have a possibility of leaving the job soon after I get hired. I feel like the right thing to do is tell them, but then again I really need a job 😛. Has anyone have this experience before? The schools I'm waitlisted at do not tell you your ranking, so I can't even gauge whether or not I have a good chance at getting accepted somewhere.
