dmoney. It all depends on when you interviewed with them. I know Temple will send first batch acceptances on 12/1 and another one on 12/15. So, if you interview with them a little bit late, don't worry. It just takes one more week to hear from them.
I think Temple is really a good school.
 
dmoney, I don't think it's safe to say that at all. remember, they send letters out with the intentions of you receiving it on Dec. 1. the mail can work in screwy ways sometimes. If everyone received a first round letter already, there would be a ton more people on here with good news from temple.

Confirmed IU interview.... 1/14/2003 and i am looking forward to it. Anyone else interviewing IU on that date???
 
etter from UL saying they have not made a decision to accept me and that they will keep reviewing it.
 
not only did I get a rejection letter from Loma Linda, I got a paper cut from them too! 😡
 
I got a rejection from Loma Linda too, saying my DAT scores are not competetive enough for Loma Linda (not to mention that I got a 21 on the DAT and their average is 18). whatever, I don't even know why I applied there at the first place.

My letter said my GPA wasnt high enough (which is true) but they said nothing about my 19/19 DAT.
 
This is very funny... i got the SAME letter from LLU!

The AVERAGE DAT/PAT that they are looking for is 18.5/18.3 and mine is 17/18... and they say its not competitive!

their love letter ends like this: "If you have any questions or for more info about our program, please do not hesitate to visit our web site."

Means not even call the school if you have questions!👎
Shows how much they value their applicants.
 
Well got Columbia acceptance today so yay, but got waitlisted at Harvard (no big surprise there).

I wonder how many people are on hold at Marquette? I received the same. I must be another way of saying you are our last resorted. No matter. That is cool becuase I did not have to spend money on a interview.

I also got a Michigan interview invite today

too bad I won't be going since I got accepted to my first choice!

The most annoying thing about it is that you don't actually know you are rejected until the last paragraph. I also caught that "see our website" line.

And the funny part is that they never say you are rejected. They just say we have not decided to send you a secondary application.
 
WVU hates me! they sent me TWO rejection letters in TWO separet mailings. They really wanted to make sure that I dont go there.

My undergrad diploma came today and instead of Bachelor of Biology it says Bachelor of Scince!!! (at UMass these were 2 different concentrations)

New type of degree ? There are only 2 bachelor degrees that I've known of.... Bachelor of Sciences and Bachelor of Arts.
 
My bad, but all i was saying is that it should list my Major... and it doesnt. Or shouldnt it say your major?? i am confused.
 
sure it should say your major.
 
Mine was only Bachelor of Science. Your major will be listed on your trascript.

Hey comet. I would send WVU a letter letting them know how much I hated them, and how I wished their program would burn in hell. That's the professional way to handle it. Calm and collected.

avin, it came by mail and not even in a big envelope, just a standard size letter..... and come to think of it, I didnt even have to open it cuz the seal wasnt stuck on.... man if that letter fell out of the envelope, i would have been pissed.
 
rejection from U Mich. actually it just said they couldn't give me an acceptance.

schools are not putting the rejection in pretty words...
 
I dont see why anyone would want to go to nyu dental. From what ive heard the school isnt was it was once. They offer people full scholorships and smart people still dont go there. NYU is still my safety school school i guess its better then nothing.
 
Actually, NYU *WAS* a dump back in the early 1990s..

Not any more.

They just passed their periodic CODA re-accreditation this year with NO recommendations (i.e. things the ADA recommends changing) and a whole bunch of commendations. Very rare achievement among dental schools, and speaks volumes about the quality of education one can get at NYUCD.

Full scholarships at NYUCD by the way are rarer than hen's teeth. The number of applicants offered full scholarships at NYUCD per year can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Considering that full scholarship at NYUCD is worth $200K+, maybe those who didn't accept it weren't so "smart" after all. :laugh:
 
i used to think that certain school may serve me as a back up.
truth is, you maybe surprised. i thought i would have at least gotten secondaries from NYU, BU, Temple and guess what?

NADA! no letters, nothing saying they got my applications, nothing man.

again, some of us forget that attending a dental school is a Privilege and nothing more. just hope that you get accepted somewhere and you can make the best out of it.
 
Hey Ahmed......have u tried contacting those schools? Cause you and I have similar stats (except for the RC), and I got interviews at all those schools, so I think you should get at least 1 or 2 interviews from those schools (Temple, BU, NYU)......try calling them buddy......

Plus, you applied at the beginning, so you should have been gold.....perhaps they misplaced it or AADSAS screwed up?? Wouldnt suprise me!

no but nyu has a little application to fill out during the interview. more for formalities for the school itself rather than anything that will really affect admission decisions.
 
Would scholarships have been included with the sheet of acceptance page or would that come later?

i checked for alrline tickets to Meharry one night stay and it was 435 + 80 for hotel.

at hotwire, i got the ticket and 2 nights of hotel package for 399.
i get to stay an extra night and still cheaper.
are the Titans playing on 1/17/2004:laugh:

Hm.. most dental schools are in weird area. When I travel for my interview, I always book Hilton hotel 'cause their hotels are always in safe area. Of course money is an issue but I don't wanna gamble my life. Ask Gavin about his experience last year at Case.

Well...today I got a rejection from Baylor and an interview invite from Pittsburgh.
 
I got reject letters from BU, CASE.

Interview invitation from Indiana.

Marquette on hold.
 
An email from NOVA saying that they received "Miscelenuous Documents" 🙄 🙄 🙄
