Emailed UPitt today to see what was up, sent my stuff in early July and they hadnt gotten back to me in a long while. Received an email back saying they just mailed me an interview invite today🙂

So schools are still sending stuff
 
Thought I'd add some good news to the board, since it's been a little slow. Received an interview from Temple about a week ago, and one from UOP today!

wow, congratz. I have the same DAT score and PAT, but I have a 3.9 compared to your 3.2 and I still havent recieved an interview from UOP. Now I am getting really scared something is wrong.
 
Abu... Call the school and find out your application status.
 
had my interview today at maryland, have two more coming up in temple and upenn in 2 weeks, then boston, then columbia and uconn, still waiting to hear from the rest of the schools
 
2 people having the same stats doesn't mean that they both get accepted at the same school. your acceptance depends on much more than just siimple DAT/gpa.
 
I got an online secondary application from AZ today. It's the first school I hear from.

i got letters in the mail from both usc and upitt inviting me for interviews.

Interview invite from Pitt today. Is ayone else thinking about going on December 8th?
 
got a rejection letter from Arizona (sad).

but i do have some good news.

i just saved a bunch on my car insurance by switching to Geico:laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

damn, rejection letters are sad.
 
well after 4-5 rejections you become used to it. its like ordering some pizza with pepp and getting it with onions and no pepp instead.

COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE?
i think i had enough.

1. volunteered at a dental office for months until i got hired there.
2. have been volunteering for the YMCA for months.
3. was a teacher's assistant for my former bio proff for one semester.

i have always been doing something.
 
Zurich, Im thinking about attending the Dec. 8th Interview at Pitt, Ill get back to you if I decide,,,sorry guys just realized I should have PMd, but its written now.
 
wooohooo! Finally, my first interview! and its at UCSF! Man I feel so much better.
 
when is your UCSF interview? are you are resident at california? I have an interview on nov. 3. I just thought we might meet there.
 
yea Im a resident of California, I have no idea when my interview is, I am going to call to schedule it. I dont think I can make it on the 3rd cuz I have a midterm on that day.
 
It's been a great two weeks for me. I have recieved four interviews during the past two weeks. Just recieved pittsburg interview. I am considering not going there and go to the maryland interview instead?
Any idea which one is better to go for the interview?

cos I will be going to Maryland.
Just kidding. I cant say anything about Pittsburgh, but I really like the school and enjoyed the facility when I visited there past summer.

I scheduled an interview for Nov. 10th, but I'm not sure if I'll be attending now. I visited SIU today and would love to attend there. Are you going?
 
hi zurich, I also have an interview in pitt on nov 10, maybe i'll see you there? btw, what's the best way to get there from md? any suggestions?

My wife JUST informed me that someone from AZ called yesterday morning for an interview! Our contact # is our cell # and she didn't get the message till this morning. I was too excited to be mad about getting it a day late.
 
just received a thank you letter from UT-Houston for attending the interview... man.. they're so nice... this is the first thank you note after 6 interviews..... 😀 did anybody else received a thank you letter from this school ? well, I will discuss a reason for my curiosity later 😉 😉 😉
 
received invites from Temple and Maryland last week.
 
As anal as San Antonio was with their interview, Houston was ten times as laid back and nice.

I'd like to add (again) that this "interview" at Creighton was one of the worst uses of $$ during my application process. When I got there they didn't even have anybody to speak with me, so I wandered around the school then left.

Completely waste of an airline ticket.

Baylor
Colorado
Nebraska
UNLV
Has anyone heard from these schools?

indeed another sad day. as if the CA fires around me and breathing smog wasn't enough, i got a rejection letter from U of Penn.

god i have had enough of those. i can't wait for just one acceptance!
 
Perfect,

Considering you applied to 30+ schools, you should prepare for more of those nasty letters. With that many schools, its inevitable.

I emailed them last week, and still haven't heard from Ms. Mangold, so I'll call tommorow. I may end up pushing my interview back to December, not sure if I want to hammer out some more money at this point. I would assume you could take 70 most of the way if you're coming from anywhere near Baltimore.
 
i guess it wouldn't be this painful if i had already gotten one acceptance.
 
Got my first interview invite today for Case Western, but its for the alternate list, which kinda blows since its my first invite. Anyways, when I called them to book the interview, I found out that my interview will be in March. Another bummer! March is DAMN far away!

Yeah, but you've already got one in the bag, and it's from your top choice. I bet a lot of other people here wouldn't mind having that verbal assurance 😉
 
Got 2 things:

1. A note from USC that my application has finally entered their "milti-level review" process. has ANYONE received interview invites from there???

2. letter from UMKC saying that although i am a "fine" applicant, the school is state supported and there is a "slight" chance for me to receive interviews and i should look into other schools.
- This sounds so much like a rejection letter. has anyone else received such letter???


Perfect, if UPenn has rejected you with those DAT scores, i guess they will burn mine!

I had one there. I beleive they only had two group sessions thus far.

i got that same letter from UMKC about a month ago. its a real bummer since UMKC too was one of my top choices (have a lot of family living there).

not necessairly. every applicant's case is diff.
