WW Child's Play; a noob game

I'm also not from a fairy tale. I think the theme is far more overarching than that.

It's just that my definition of a fairy tale is the whole "once upon a time" type of story. I've never heard of The Wizard of Oz referred to as folk lore or a fairy tale, that's why aloha is throwing me off (as is the chance of Huck being here). This is too confusing. I'll change my vote unless the mods clear up my fairy tale confusion. We could at least narrow it down to those who are making it too fun! I really should take that nap right now. My bed is just right.

There are obviously enough players claiming to be from stories that are not by definition "fairy tales" that they can't ALL be wolves. Aloha was also the first to semi role reveal, meaning she did so before the trend of genre-mixed characters became apparent. If she was going to make something up, there are plenty of characters that would be safer bets. I also don't buy for a second that she was hinting at wolfhood with an obscure and pretty tenuous reference.

Also...what are you expecting from the mods in terms of a definition? It's a fairy tale if it's got a fairy in it? (My story, BTW, has a fairy in it, and wouldn't likely be considered a classical fairy tale.)

I thought someone claiming to be from a group of 4 said they were a girl and the other 3 were both boys and girls. Sombody (else?) said all 4 roles were children. So I don't think Dorothy fits in a group of 4 relevant here.

Nice hint pinkpuppy9, but I don't know if it's a good thing to suggest non human child.
 
I think it's pretty safe to say that the three of us who think we may be part of a group of four from the same story are not Wizard of Oz characters. After all, there's a suspected Dorothy in the game and we made no attempt to reach out to her.

But again, we could be from different stories. I've thought of multiple possibilities with groups of four and obviously only 1 includes me.

I don't think it's all classic "fairy tale" stories. In my opinion this game should be just children stories. So I'm fine with wizard of Oz and huck Finn characters

I think the Kiki/Red Riding Hood theories refer to the same player. Sounds like Red to me.

I can confirm I am a child. Any villagers who aren't?

Btw pink, remember that in the most recent game, "lamb who looks like an old man" was counted in the grumpy old men category. Our mods aren't exactly sticklers for the Webster's definition, ya know?

No, I'm just wanting to know if they consider classic novels as fairy tales/folk lore in this game. The opening post of the game made it seem like we'd be dealing with mostly brothers Grimm type characters, but it looks like that's not panning out. I feel like we won't get an answer, though. That might make it toooo easy.

Good point! I haven't thoroughly read all of the old WW's so I missed that one. I agree that Kiki probably isn't here, but Red is. Kiki would be too excited to talk about flying.

For children, we've established Huck, Lil Red, Annie, possible Goldilocks, possible Dorothy. Are there any Dickens characters out there? Oliver, Tiny Tim, Pip?

FinDog is claiming to be one of the 4, as a boy, with both boys and girls. This fits with my character. Dorothy does not.

I was trying to be just obvious enough, maybe I was too subtle. Again, role revealing makes me nervous. Wolves might be trying to pick off their protagonist counterparts and I feel like we're all laying it out on the table if that's the case. After all, in the non-Disney fairy tales, us child/protagonist characters usually don't have the best endings thanks to our story's antagonists.
 
I'm pretty certain I know who the kcoughli/Finn group characters are, but let's refrain from open speculation, since that's an easy train to hop on board.

I was assuming Goldilocks from the "my bed is just right" comment. Driving now so I can't look back through her previous comments, but she claims she's been alluding to it for awhile. Anyone else see anything else to support this in her history?
 
I feel like this goes to show you how I know too little about children's stories. I had to look mine up because I wasn't familiar with all versions...

I'd go and quote myself, but it'd be too much.

Pink is right, she has been committed to the Goldilocks character from her earliest posts. Everything is too delicious, too suspicious, or sounds just right. Doesn't mean it isn't a cover, but if it is, she laid the groundwork before her name came up to lynch. I'm uncertain enough to be okay with switching to an absentee player.

I'm sorry, I spent all night taking care of a dying macaw and all day in the exotics service... I still need to figure this thing out and read a lot of pages, apparently! I'll be back in an hour or so to hypothesize. 🙂
 
Just curious, those voting for inactives that aren't the frontrunner (chordata), what made you pick who you did? Not that I had a good reason for choosing Chord, just jumped on the bandwagon. But interested to hear why you chose KLMN instead, @Devastating.
