I agree it's entirely possible to vote for someone one day and clear them the next. I'm just wondering about the fact that it looks like most items are lost in one day. Obviously we don't know the rules of all the items (or most it seems). Just something to consider.

That is strange.

I was kind of surprised because I recommended a page or 2 back to the unknown katniss to PM Dyachei first, but Dyachei hasn't been around so PetPony didn't do that. And that you probably needed to use an item (camouflage, medicine, or baking).

Honestly I just thought PetPony was a bad player, taking a dumb risk or just didn't bother to read the thread.

Now I am not so sure.

Sometimes items are "number of uses" and not "number of days", or sometimes the number of days is random, just going off previous games.

I don't know, it seems like Katie8 has had an item for more than one day, and I won't "out" anyone, but there was another item someone had that could be used for more than one day at the risk of being silenced if it was used more than once.

Eh, I'm honestly not so sure about that, and maybe it's from my experience (and this kinds goes against what I just said about how we don't know the rules) but in the Disney game, I had my item from the very beginning to the day I got killed (lost it right before I got lynched). And if that was the case, wouldn't Katie8 be able to post more than gibberish on the thread? At least I would think so if items tended to linger with a person for only a day. Again, just speculation really.

I have said many times I have no idea, but you can't preclude the possibility of players having items to communicate TO the mayor. This game does have suspiciously little overt communications abilities for the mayor or the districts.

Pre-vet forum rocks in these WW games. Not sure about quality, but the quantity is awesome, and the participation level is awesome.
 
I don't know how the items work since I have yet to have one. I know that nyanko got the pin and lost it after one night. I'm inclined to believe what Emiloo is saying about number of uses since Emiloo had an item. I have been made aware of an investigatory item that was lost after one use which was maybe affecting my thoughts about the rest of the items.

That's a good idea. One of my thoughts was that in the books cameras are used to monitor actions and the news is given to officials. I was thinking that maybe that lissa was given some of the investigations this way. I don't know though. That seems pretty silly and I think I'm really overthinking it.

Somebody was suspecting me of being a wolf, so I said that I'm Katniss to try and clear myself. I did not check with dyachei if there is a way to bring Peeta back.

But I did make sure that there was a way to keep myself safe. So I was not stupid enough to just get myself killed by outing myself. I will survive at least one more night, so please investigate me to make sure I am just a tribute.

I was also hoping someone would step forward if they had one of the items in question to see if there was a way to put them to good use.

Can an item keep you safe from being lynched? Or only from a wolf attack?

So we're looking for bread, mud?, and medicine (possibly leaves?), right? I haven't had squat so far, so I'm useless in that department.
 
I was apparently cleared the night after Lissarae randomly chose my name to lynch, which is the cause of the perceived discrepancy.

As for the four people cleared in three nights - it wouldn't necessarily all have to be done by an item. Someone could be a seer, there could be another part time seer like in the dog game, there could be items used. I don't think it's as far fetched as people are making it out to be, unless Lissarae claimed to have done all of the investigating on her own, which she apparently did not (according to SOV and krist).

I feel really suspicious of Petpony right now but I'm afraid if I lead the charge in lynching her and she does turn out to be Katniss, it'll look really bad. I just feel that if she truly were Katniss, should wouldn't have outed herself like that. I don't want to lynch her in case she really is Katniss but I think if she isn't killed by wolves tonight, someone with the ability needs to investigate her ASAP since I doubt the real Katniss will be like, Naw guys, it's really me! And set themselves up for wolf bait. Then again, they may be wary of revealing their true role to a group mate; either way, DVMDream was also cleared by Lissarae, and since I know myself to be a tribute I trust Lissarae's information is correct and DVMDream can be trusted.

On the other hand, if Petpony is not a wolf, the wolves may leave Petpony untouched tonight to draw further suspicion against her from us non-wolves and have her lynched by us. If she is lynched by us, they'll know they've got Katniss; if we don't lynch her soon enough, they'll go after her themselves. I'm not sure how long Petpony will be allowed to survive by either side. Not sure if it's worth eliminating her as a threat now to protect ourselves or to keep her in play to attempt to use whatever powers she might have as Katniss, if she really is Katniss.

You were saying that the wolves knew CFC was Peeta and that the only way they could know is if I was also a wolf. Which is totally not true -- and why I voiced my suspicions.

I guess I'm gonna look more suspicious tomorrow then. The only reason I decided to out myself is because I knew I would be safe for at least one more night. I WILL NOT DIE OVER NIGHT. So somebody please check me out tonight, so people can trust me tomorrow. I didn't want to risk being lynched and wanted to try to find useful items as soon as possible to hopefully do something useful before the end of the game.

I said it was a possibility. I talked about it with Trematode through pm and we decided to tell everyone else. We never said we were absolutely sure. Only that it might be possible.

I don't know, it could be bad word choice on your part. But every time you or Trematode have brought it up it seems like you never considered investigatory roles/items/random attack in regards to CFC's death. Which is why I found it suspicious.

this made me laugh out loud. I love the fact that you had to go buy the book to play the game. I thought the books were ok but I got pretty disenchanted with the teen-girl love triangle series when Twilight went viral. It was good until I had girls squealing and screaming and crying in the movie theater. Goddam waste of money that premier was! Grow up. It's a good story but it ISN'T REAL.

Anyway. I lied hunger games but I'm worried about the movie coming out and it ruining the series.

This is why I love Harry Potter. Excellently executed movie series. Well thought out, a thrill to watch, and close enough to the books that you can't complain very much.

.....wow....I think I just ranted without even planning on it. I'm getting so grouchy now that I'm a vet student.....off to troll somewhere else!

If PP is telling us all the truth about this item, do you really want to lynch her now if she happens to have a protective item/ability?

I had no idea PP was Katniss, or however you spell it (never read the books). I still think PP is being truthful. AND I AM NOT READY TO LOSE MY STRATEGY BUDDY 🙁.

To be honest when I saw that I thought that's because you signed up as Katniss originally. I believe this was before CFC died as well so we didn't know there were secret roles as book characters.

I'm not comfortable lynching PetPony in case she is Katniss. That could be really valuable to us later. Meanwhile, there should be someone out there who can investigate her tonight.

I don't know what the count is, but I want to get my vote in. Based on the failed wolf attack and the only person silent the following day, lynch sunnex.

I thought in the beginning that we signed up for roles, but then realized we don't. Once I got my role from dyachei though, I thought I might hint at it in case someone else had a role, too. I actually thought everyone was assigned a character from the group until the first death happened and people were only called tributes.
