You guys sound like you've been bitten by a couple of murtlaps, a little confused there. Funky little creatures, I remember being bit by one after tending to a broken leg and I had flames shooting from my butt for a solid 4 hours. It was not a fun experience, I tell ya. All part of the job here at the school.

I guess to explain how much rabies sucks, we had an outbreak in the bat and fox and raccoon populations in town that actually was spreading to pets for the first time in something like 50 years during my second year as a tech. I had to cut off so many heads.

The worst was a lady who didn't vaccinate her pets. Her daughter woke up to a bat on her shirt trying to chew through it. The daughter ran outside and shooed it off. Best guess was that a cat brought it in since their cats were indoor/outdoor and frequently brought prey home.

Their oldest cat started to urinate outside the box, stare at the wall for hours, and developed ataxia when it did bother to move. It was also drooling slightly. Anyway, they brought it in, told us the whole story, we examined and as I carried it back into the exam room after getting blood, a doctor slammed the door to the next exam room and the cat buried her teeth in my arm. We pried her jaws out of my bicep, (no, she didn't let go, just sat there with her teeth in my arm) and broke the news to the owner that due to the outbreak, any unvaccinated animal who bit a human was being put down and tested (especially if possibly showing symptoms). She cried, but consented and said it was probably good since the cat had scratched her children too.

The lab was backed up so it took about 12 days for results to come back (and they were nearly out of the post exposure vax, so they were saving the last few doses for known, emergent cases is what I was told). By then, 2 more of her animals came down with weird neurologic signs and scratched or bit neighborhood children. I got rabies and died... 😱 Nah, cat came back negative and so did all 5 of her other animals that we had to put down over the course of 2 months. I felt so bad for that lady and hated seeing her face all at the same time.

So yes, I hate rabies. Even when it isn't actually rabies, it destroys everything.

MJ's last 5 points just put him high on my suspicious list. Being busy is one thing, consistently saying nothing or giving posts like that don't help the villagers in any way. Once he's slept and had a chance to catch up I might change my mind. But tonight's posts made me actually made me kinda angry.

I was warned that I wasn't posting enough and was going to be modkilled, so posted my five post minimum while my girlfriend gave me the stare of "you haven't slept in two days and I want to bang and cuddle and you're typing on your phone instead of either sleeping or spending quality time with me?" That's the sort of priority misplacement that almost cost jdh his marriage (and did play a part in pandabear's falling to pieces) and will generally get a guy an ultimatum because, shockingly, most people don't understand the importance of a party game on an obscure forum on the internet. Now I've got some time, so it's time to get cracking.

Remember when I said a while ago that if STL is village, then I think WZ and MJ are also village? Well the reverse is also true -- if STL is a wolf, then I would guess WZ and MJ are also wolves. This post makes me think maybe that idea wasn't so crazy after all.

This speaks to a pretty large failure to understand how WW works. The whole game is about trust building and deception. Any combination of trust and deception could be present in a given group because of the nature of the game itself.

Wolves have been given posting restrictions before. As in, they have to post that way. I don't think lyra made it up. I do think she has to post flowers. I also think she's a wolf. Please read previous posts about this exact thing that.

On that note about the Lyra restriction, I would also expect that she would have been better about remembering it (she had a few times where she had to edit her posts) if she were trying to do it for cover.

But I don't know why people keep getting hung up on that when it's been said multiple times that wolves can get posting restrictions, and that is more likely than her making it up.

To clarify, dealing with a potential rabies patient absolutely sucks, but I do find the actual disease fascinating. The state testing facility is near my house, so I drove many heads there over the years, including the head of a black cat on hallows eve. I really hoped I didn't get rear ended that night as that would have been awkward to explain.

Also going back to last night. If you are the villager assassin (and I have a suspicion of who you are), there is an upgrade ability in the game that lets you do almost anything with your role. What I would personally do is hold off until you receive an upgrade and then use the upgrade to make your next kill only able to kill a wolf (so if you are wrong, it counts as a seer attempt instead). Definitely do not disagree with your attempt to take out NAFW, but if you have a kill left, I would hold out for that.

All was calm and quiet in the clinic overnight, except for that INFURIATING fluid pump that was absolutely convinced that there was a bubble in the line.

While all the patients may have gone a little mad from the incessant beeping, they were happy when the morning came and nobody had passed away. Maybe this vet knows what she's doing after all.

It is now Day 4, and there are still 17 patients in the hospital. Lynch deadline will be at 8PM EST tomorrow.

Kind of odd that you question the posting restriction being the reason for the lynch, and then state that was your reason for it. The reminders that wolves could have posting restrictions were specifically because people were using it as a reason to clear her, not because it made her more wolfy or anything like that.
