I don't think that's over-interpreting. That's exactly what made me think there were umbrella categories.

The word choice of "CANCER" is what makes me think our categories might be wrong. If trilt was going all medical-y on us, wouldn't she have used "Neoplasia" instead? It makes me think that if there are categories, we should also consider ones that are a little more ...not fluffy, exactly, but more metaphorical? So, things like "aging", and maybe something as broad as "human-influenced" (obesity, brachycephalic, ethylene glycol poisoning). If that one's a category, then it would be a sad one 🙁
 
So here is the pickle I am personally in then. We have two metabolic syndromes dead. I know three left in the game. There is me, there is serher, and there is dubz. This could be a situation where I literally have to eat my hat, but I still really don't believe dubz to be a wolf. Which would leave serher. And making hyperthyroidism a wolf representing metabolic syndrome? I mean, I guess, I just... Idk. I don't think she would do that with diabetes either.

I mean serher has been under suspicion. I think she was my lynch in the lynch prior to this one, IIRC. If not, I know people have mentioned suspicions of her and then we decided to crack the lyra egg today. Might just need to lynch serher to get some info.

But I want convincing talk from you and WZ as I'm not throughly convinced on either of you two not being wolves.

I definitely think there are categories based on trilt's wording, I'm just not sure I want to hang my hat on the current idea of what the categories are, especially since I think it's likely there are more categories than wolves. Seems like if we're wrong about that we could go down the path of lynching a bunch of villagers looking for a wolf that might not exist. So I think it's more useful to use as a clearing mechanism (i.e. probably no more wolf cancers) than a hunting mechanism.

And I'm an 8yo FS Schnauzer with diabetes.
 
Forgot to mention my role in earlier posts- I'm a lab with Addison's.

For any of the vet students or vets still playing- what category does "fat" fall into? Ny's "diagnosis."

I've not really felt that you're wolfy up until this point, but something about this post reads to me as either legitimately questioning the classification system that we've currently been running with, or using your "skepticism" to cover up that you're the wolf out of the three you've mentioned.
 
I have no information to post, because despite my best efforts. I have a couple of people I can vouch for, but I don't want to make them wolf targets.

I know, she talked me down a bit in pms, I had her wolf leaning and then neutral after discussions in pm. There is some stuff in the background after discussing stuff with mmm that could throw a bit of shade towards serher, it's weak at best though.

In terms of convincing talk, I am not sure what more you want. You know where I stand on everyone in the game through the thread. I am doing post analyses on the thread instead of on my spreadsheet, and doing it as much as current time is allowing. You know my role name. With the way I do my meta game, there is very little that I can demonstrate and say "see, I wouldn't do this as a wolf" because I would do practically anything as a wolf or a villager. It's dangerous to post all of my thoughts on the thread as a wolf, as you can track how I am trying to make villagers lean, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't take such a risk as a wolf. So the moral of the story is, there's not much I can do to convince you. I am contributing as much as I can and giving my best effort.

I am not going to put all my money on a horse that's not a sure bet. It's not a sure bet. A great theory right now, but not a sure bet. That's fair on the skepticism part, but I mean, that is my current state. Serher defused my concerns in pm, and dubz has been about a 1000% villager in my book. I would definitely go for serher of the two, but I just don't feel great about it.

Everything is an illusion and nothing means anything because life is a vast simulation in a small box on an alien world in a galaxy that exists outside of our known universe (that also isn't real).

C'mon MJ, this is just where you are relying on pms and roles, which is only half the game (or even less I would argue). Look a little bit on the thread, take a look at current theories, give us your thoughts. Based on post analysis, who looks wolfy in your eyes, who looks villager, etc.

His massive quoting spree Saturday night gave me some feels, but I think that's something he'd do as village or wolf. This post though. It's one of those so helpful it's too helpful kind of things.

I'm also willing to lynch STL just so CKD can die an awful fiery death.

Remember when I said a while ago that if STL is village, then I think WZ and MJ are also village? Well the reverse is also true -- if STL is a wolf, then I would guess WZ and MJ are also wolves. This post makes me think maybe that idea wasn't so crazy after all.

I haven't slept since five AM yesterday morning. I couldn't analyze second grade math right now. It's my last overnight of the year though, so ask me tomorrow after I've had some rest.

MJ's last 5 points just put him high on my suspicious list. Being busy is one thing, consistently saying nothing or giving posts like that don't help the villagers in any way. Once he's slept and had a chance to catch up I might change my mind. But tonight's posts made me actually made me kinda angry.

I am curious where your logic is. It helps the village to get a possible wolves ideas on the thread. I have pushed people to post that seem to be fading into the background with their thoughts. MJ is another one that is doing that, even though I have him safely in my villager column right now.

Another thing I will add since you haven't played with me. I know I will be lynched every game by day 8. It is rare for wolves to kill me as I will always be sketch to people by about day 4/5. If I am a wolf, I play a long game that will benefit other wolves, not benefit myself, as quite honestly, the only way I stay alive past my experiation date as a wolf is by busing other wolves (or tricking my fiance into vouching for me, but that's a different story). And that is only a short extension. I can only think of one game where I effectively had villagers fooled (outside of fiance bit), it was in the lounge, and they had a villager role that could look at the remaining wolves, and kill 1 of them (while sarcificing themselves). They chose me. I had also bused like 5 wolves that game.

But as far as this game goes, I have STL in my strong village category based off his posts and PMs... which makes Pippy look even more wolfy to me.
 
Interesting points, and maybe that is all true.

But to someone who doesn't really know either of your play styles personally, but has heard how you guys are WW buddies, a post like that can also can read a little like "hey packmate, please don't get modkilled for not posting enough."

That would go in the wolf thread pm then? As an aside, I always encourage those that don't know play style to look back a few games and get a feel for it.

I disagree on both above statements. I've seen a wolf WZ, convince the other two of being villager and same with wolf STL or wolf MJ. I also very strongly doubt all three of them are wolves and covering for one another...they just wouldn't.


You're rapidly climbing my suspicious ladder for multiple reasons.

I was doing the same, but I am having trouble narrowing down to only 5 categories even with combining metabolic and endocrine.

Currently, I have: Infectious, inflammatory (atopic dermatitis), metabolic, congenital, neoplasia, and toxin.

Any other infectious besides me? Was discussing in PM maybe derm is a category? But haven't heard of any other skin conditions either.

Parvo and brucellosis (canine)

The other skin condition would be atopic dermatitis. But I haven't heard of any others.
 
Quick thoughts based on my read through - I don't like the way 3m hopped on lyra's lynch. So I personally gave her a wolf point for that, but STL seems to feel pretty strongly that she is village and I'm sure he has reason for that. Still gonna keep my eye on her since he's not totally infallible.

Caiter's post about someone visiting her like it would clear her was weird to me. She's been playing long enough she should know that doesn't really mean anything, unless she was visited by an affiliation seer. I had some other posts that I had feelings about, but I quoted them this morning and they disappeared. So will have to track them down again later.

Hopefully I'll have time to look over things more closely tomorrow afternoon and organize my thoughts but I make no promises.

I mean, I don't think it'll kill the dog...unless that whole owner can't afford to treat....

But can cause infertility, late term abortion, spondylosis, epididmyitis, prostatitis and uveitis...to name a few things.

So not exactly benign...but he's not going to die like our rabies victim will
