and then onto the mutts bandwagon D3.
is always asking people for their reasons but doesn't seem to ever provide any of his own....
Def bandwagoned onto Mutts.
but thats my thing :yeahright:
I gave you sketch points because you pre-emptively proclaimed yourself villager with no pressure besides a random vote. I could see a noob wolf being startled into feeling like they have to respond to the first vote cast in their direction.
Wasn't around in time to unlynch sporty after her role reveal, but glad people did.
Coffee avoided voting for Mutts both D1 and D2 when they were a real possibility for lynch.

Contingency Lynch Mutts

Def never give reasons for any of my votes.

You get sketch points because right now it looks like AM correctly called you out your retaliation vote and you moved your vote off of her to avoid her making a bigger stink and drawing attention to you.

Dandy voting for SP put SP solidly in the lead over a wolf. She couldn't have anticipated SP role revealing tinkerer. When SP did, she had to switch off of SP, but instead of switching to the other person who was a viable lynch, she voted to a random player, away from the wolf.
I don't think she voted away to break the tie, I think she voted away to make sure she wasn't called out for being on the claimed tinkerer's lynch.

I get that it was a gut reaction list, but it also looks like a list that a wolf threw out under pressure because they were asked to give reads on the fly. The list is the people I haven't gotten a good village read on (minus Jboo and Allie, there just isn't enough from them to say more than null).

ETA: I could lynch you for impuning my honor madam!

For one... asking someone to provide a list of suspicious behaviors to avoid seems kinda wolfy to me

I highly doubt an experienced player like AM needs a list of behaviour she should be avoiding. Sharing info of what makes you think people are wolfy on thread is usually helpful. You might be the only one seeing a trend. It gives us something to discuss. Also, since you are a noob, we might be able to point out things that are contrary to how you interpret them.

For example: Generally, not wanting to talk about why you think people are wolfy on thread is wolfy. Because wolves already know who is not a wolf so can often skate by without forming solid opinions like the village tries to do. I have you in my village lean pile, don't make me move you.

So statistically, we’re likely to have a noob as a wolf, but what if that was jays? Who just never bothered to join wolf chat? Just something to consider since we seem to be getting hung up on the idea that there must be a wolf among the noobs. Think the mods would compensate the pack with something else like an extra kill or a convert?

Who just never bothered to join wolf chat?

How do you figure this? I feel like even if a wolf didn't speak in wolf chat, that wouldn't turn them neutral if they were assigned a wolf at the beginning of the game. But I haven't played that many games. Is that a mechanic you've seen before?

No, just speculating. Since mods weren’t able to PM jays, even if she was rng’d as a wolf, she wouldn’t have known it. If I was in that pack, I’d feel like I was screwed over by a noob and I’d be miffed. So I’m putting the idea out there so we don’t get so focused on the idea that there’s got to be a noob wolf. There still could be one, I don’t know, but I think it’s worth considering.

That's right. I forgot they couldn't pm her at first. Even so, I think that she would have flipped whichever side that the mods had intended for her, regardless of whether they were able to message it to her.

That makes sense.
I definitely read it as “share your game play strategy for all to see” but I see what you’re saying.
Sorry AM!

Honestly I didn’t love the question because I’m still just trying to get a read on people and come up with my own theories so that I’m not just bandwagoning, but everyone is making really valid arguments so it’s been hard to not just jump onto someone else’s reasoning.
And then just thinking that if I were a wolf, I would probably just ask people tons of questions to throw them off... which is kind of why both Mel and AM pinged my radar. But AM seems much more willing to also explain her own choices, whereas Mel seems to be getting defensive when he’s questioned and upset when people don’t answer him. So for me, AM is neutral and Mel is wolfy.

I guess in general, defensiveness and eager self-preservation sets off alarms for me (hence my vote for mutt D1 when her reply to a lynch vote was “but I’m a villager”)

And I’m suspicious of dandy’s noob skills. That’s maybe just jealousy. I feel so overwhelmed and they’re just cool as a cucumber. Hence my suspicion. Probably not a great reason, and not set on that one.

And I’m suspicious of dandy’s noob skills.

I hadn't even thought of this. The wolves could easily be guiding her and telling her how to strategize in wolf chat (I'm assuming that's what you had in mind). That had certainly been the case for me in a previous game.

Ok, so for those debating Dandy this is why I have them as village-lean: I accidentally tied up the vote between Coffee and Sporty (and yes, this theory kinda makes me look wolfy for doing that, but you're just going to have to take my word for it that it was a genuine **** up, but at least it worked out). Dandy is the one that untied it by unlynching Sporty. Why would that make sense as a wolf move at all when they could have just sat back and let me wallow in the mess I created by creating that tie with like 3 minutes left. Ties are usually settled as 1 party dies, both die, or neither die. With a wolf on the block, it would make good strategic sense to at least try to play the odds and see if they could take out a dangerous villager instead. As a wolf, it would have been way easier to just sit back and then later say you weren't around right at lynch. And it happened too fast for me to believe it was coached.

That's at least where I'm sitting right now.

I still want to lynch SAR because of these interactions from the beginning of the game

Lynch coffee

Because if I can't pm with you, can I trust you? 😉

Don't make me lynch you for over-explaining! Lol

Even Stagg was like what the heck, unless that was just a joke.

you're just going to have to take my word for it that it was a genuine **** up

I don't, sorry

thus, ####lynch SAR####

Stagg's comment was a joke to last game where I got lynched for "over explaining". Which, incidentally, I was a wolf. But hadn't looked at my role before I made the post in question haha

The first thing I do in a game is find out my role, so I find it weird that you'd make a post without finding out your role first. Had you not gotten a role PM yet?

can we lynch me for reasons other than D1 joke posts sometime?

I got it. But if I am a wolf I tend to panic and post the most incriminating **** on thread. So I typically try to read the thread first, formulate a response, then check my role, and post formulated response. There is your insight into wolf SAR for today. It wasn't relevant for this game because the game started while I was online so there wasn't any "catch up on thread first and check if I am a woof later".

It may not make sense, but it's how I play.

Lol you haven't even seen me salt yet. I mine that **** when I get really frustrated with the thread

omg why is shelter ignoring me

Because she refuses to stop riding my udder. (For reference, today is costume day at school and I am wearing a cow onesie with an udder... I think I'm funny ok? The number of times I've been "milked" today man...)

I'm not ignoring you, you just often ask me [loaded] questions that I can't really answer. My thought process is not that deep. As I mentioned in a previous post, I tend to take things at face value. I don't make lists, I don't look at vote patterns, etc - as useful as those things may be, I just haven't had the time this game. That, and I believe they can be misleading.

So if you weren't voting for me, who would be your next lynch target?

But what about all those posts about catching up? What's misleading?

I guess jboo because I can't think for myself and the logic against them seems sound

But what about all those posts about catching up? What's misleading?

Catching up = reading what happened. Or, a better term for me, skimming. "They can be misleading" was referring to the various types of lists that people make to track peoples votes, actions, whatevers.

I guess I still don't know what you mean though. Your posts about SAR could be misleading. What specifically about these things have been misleading?

This is just bizarre. You add sketch points to dolphin because the night write up says sporty helped her avoid death? How is that wolfy at all?
I don’t see anyone else offering up better ideas as to why the write up is the way it is. And sporty was the item maker so she’s a solid target for a NK.

@johnnaboo What do you think of the non-quiet players?
I missed responding to this, sorry.

Mel is making decent sense to me so far. You are also making sense but as someone mentioned somewhere, you have been more active in questioning people. SAR pinged my sketch-dar recently (I don’t remember why) but her voting pattern doesn’t really convince me that she’s a wolf. Shelter is still being dodgy, which I do not like.

What do you think about me, AM, and jboo?
AM is on my village list but it IS right about that time in the game where she does something to make me flip out and want to lynch her.
Jboo was neutral because I felt like I hadn't seen enough to evaluate, but moved more towards wolf with the last couple of posts. I don't agree with some of what she's saying [WTF? how does dolphin potentially being a target for a night kill make them MORE sketchy?] but I can't tell if the mismatch in logic is because she's a wolf, or because she's just got some tin-foil-hat theory about dolphin.

You're on my neutral list because I haven't seen anything outright wolfy from you, but I feel like you usually have this IDGAF attitude as a villager that makes me automatically say "yupp thats village Genny." I'm not seeing that this game. While its not a reason to lynch you, it does make me wary of you.

SAR your theory is contingent on the assumption that Dandy knew how ties play out, that she knew she was breaking a tie, and that no one else would have broken the tie before deadline. I think thats too many assumptions.

I've been wondering more about this since the last night write up. They specifically mention a blocked attack, and then someone wrote on the thread that it was not uncommon for these particular mods to do so. Night 2, there was not mention of blocked attacks. Just "No one died." Removing my tinfoil hat, I am happy to admit that even mods get tired so it could just be a random coincidence, but it has been weighing on my mind that maybe the wolves were offered a conversion at that point.

It wasn't mention specifically that the write-up was a blocked attack as opposed to redirection or protection. I guess the same can be applied for a convert against wolves not submitting a kill, but ew, who likes that? Even if conversion happened though, there's still one original wolf left.

ok so where is @dolphin106258 ...can you maybe clarify what happened without going into too much detail? I don't think dolphin has even posted today, maybe she was silenced?

I don’t see anyone else offering up better ideas as to why the write up is the way it is. And sporty was the item maker so she’s a solid target for a NK.
So that makes me wolfy? I’m confused. I got a message basically saying I was blocked last night, so I don’t know what Sporty did or didn’t do item wise. But I don’t see how the write up is written you get I’m wolfy

Oh that’s creepy sorry had a long school day. But basically sounds like I was blocked/also protected

Edit: sorry hit post too soon

Oh also

Lynch jboo

Partially bc I’m eating dinner and want to remember to vote for someone. And because I haven’t liked a lot of answers given when questioned about certain things by me and others.
