The mob lynching of an innocent S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist did nothing to calm the mood of the city. People went to bed nervous. Lacking leadership - the sheep were scared.

And with good reason. This second night of unrest was no better than the first. More odd lightning dancing around the Empire State Building. More icicles - in the middle of summer - dangling from the Statue of Liberty. Making matters worse to the average Joe on the street, reports trickled in that people saw somebody in a shiny red suit flying circles around jets departing from LaGuardia Int'l. An largely unnoticed news report recounted the ravings of a street person, who claimed to witness somebody shooting arrows into the recently deceased Bruce Banner. "I swear! This really strong dude shot arrow after arrow right into the corpse! I'm not making it up!"

At Villain HQ, this latest batch of collaborative villains popped the cork on some champagne at the same time their minions carried out another attack - this time on Trematode, another S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist who had almost perfected a device to predict the number of villains. Nobody's exactly sure how Trematode was killed; but images of her body parts were released - one body part to each major news entity in the city to encourage maximum public hysteria. For some inexplicable reason, FOX News received two middle fingers.

Sadly, Trematode's invention dies with her - it turns out to be just too complex for anyone else to understand.

But the Avengers? Nowhere to be seen. "Avengers .... assemble?" muttered the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. "Bunch of lazy, impossible to work with, no good for nothing, self-aggrandizing, narcissistic, arrogant muttonheads," said Nick Fury, a bit louder. He threw a glare at the stunning Maria Hill. "Never around when you need them."

You have until 12pm CDT to lynch a fellow player. There are 23 players remaining:

Crap. Sorry we lost you, Trematode, we could have really used that villain detector. How many do we think there are, 4 or 5? 😕 It would've been nice to know for certain.

Right, whoever was hit by the lightning is probably silenced just like I was, so until Night 3 results. 🙁 It sucks to be silenced for so long. If we can figure out who it is, maybe the SHIELD medic who healed me can help them?

On the plus side, it sounds like Iron Man, or at least the armor, is around now. I have no idea what to think about shooting poor dead Bruce, unless it's just someone having fun like SOV did with LIS.
 
Oh, yeah, the times work for me too. We might have more useful discussion if we managed to get the nights to end at 12 and the lynches to end at 8, though.

That is what I was thinking.

Do we think someone IS silenced from the Bolts of lightening? It wasn't over a house this time, like in last night writeup. But same with the icicles, so I guess I'll wait for Dyachei's answer?

I already answered above. It didn't say icicles, just frozen. But it could be the same thing.
 
Hey guys, sorry I have been away all day. I am at a horse show and have been trying to keep up on my phone. The one thing I don't understand is Thor is supposed to be a good guy, so why would he be attacking people with lighting? Is there another character that google is not revealing that may also have some kind of lighting power to attack people? I was thinking, Lissa did say that they took some stuff from other movies as well, what if the person doing the attacking is someone like Whiplash?

Also, I am confused why Hawkeye would be shooting Bruce? The only thing I can think of is they are afraid that the Hulk may be resurrected, but again, aren't they both good guys? 😕

Why do you think it was Hawkeye? I was assuming it was the same 'Bow & Arrow' thing that SOV had N1.

I wonder if the villain detector would have been able to give us a constantly updated number of villains. That would have been super useful especially towards the end.

Also, I haven't seen the movie, or read any of the comics, etc, so I'm already super confused. I have seen the Iron Man movies if that counts for anything.

12 works for me 🙂( thanks to a stupid guy ruining my weekend plans). During the week, it doesn't work for me so much, but I'll try to make it work if it's the best option for everyone.

I think krist said her PM just said frozen, too, and she thought it was the icicles in the write-up. That makes sense to me, in light of anyone else claiming that they were the icicles. When I was silenced, my PM said bolt of lightning and the write-up said bolt of electricity. Nobody else came forward claiming to be electricity's 2nd victim. 😎 They're close enough for me, anyway.
 
I might miss the lynch tomorrow, as my flight lands at 11:20 (eastern time) and I have to pick up my bag and it's about 45 minute ride from airport to my mom's house, so may not make it online until after 1 pm eastern. Just a fair warning. I'll check in on my layover but it's super wicked early in the morning so doubt anything will be happening yet.

I just automatically thought Hawkeye because those are his weapons, I forgot about the bow and arrow object, that makes more sense though!

My first thought was actually that someone was trying to resurrect Sheep, but it made no sense to be doing it with a bow and arrows. Then I remembered that SOV shot at LIS to be funny, so I thought whoever had them might be doing the same thing?

Unless someone comes forward with info leading to a wolf, this lynch is going to be tough too. There are a few people that I think probably aren't wolves (only a few out of the living 23 players 🙄) but it's just a hunch and it would be great to get confirmation that they are not evil.
 
Jeez. I go to take a nap and set my alarm, but no I sleep right through it for 4 hours! 😱

Anyway, sucks that we lost Trem. Her item could have been really useful...

I wonder if whoever used the bow and arrow attacked the hulk to avoid attacking another villager?

Oh and btw, I was the one who was hauled in for questioning by Agent Phil on Night 1 🙄 I just had to answer a question but I wasn't silenced.

Not being able to PM like normal is very tough. :laugh: When you say things on the thread, you know that the wolves will see it. At least with PMing you limit your chances of that happening.

Not you specifically, just everyone in general.

And Abney, it was lightning for me and electricity for the write-up. 😉 Tonight's write-up said lightning, though, so I think it's safe to say the mods are just changing up the wording a bit so we don't get bored.
 
So there are 13 people who haven't said anything since night results went up. Based on my experience, I'm betting that one of them is silenced for an entire day/night from lightning.
 
Administrative Updates:

1) All item updates for Day 2 (that's right, the day after Night 2) have been sent. If you have reason to believe an error was made, PM both mods.

2) Clarification on contingent voting: Contingent votes are welcome and encouraged, but we want to make sure everyone knows ahead of time that we will be revealing the contingency vote well ahead of the lynch deadline - no anonymous contingency voting. 🙂
 
So since I lost the item I can bring it to light now - for the first 2 nights I had a thing that creates LMDs. It seems to have limited uses (you should be able to figure out how many are left if you have the item). The description doesn't say exactly what it does game-wise, but speculates that it may provide confusion in the event of an attack on the player you use it on.

...please say you didn't use it on anyone that you didn't trust.

That sounds like something you really, really shouldn't use unless you are really, really sure that you can trust the person you're using it on.
