Well, here we are. The home stretch. For many people, including myself as a re-applicant, May 15th could prove to be a life-changing date.

So, here it is: The Official Lucky Wailist Thread 2008-2009.

The Lucky Interview Thread I made seemed to work its magic for myself and many other fellow members. I am hoping the powers that be are channeled into this thread, as well. haha

Dear Lucky Waitlist Thread-

I really could use your help right now. I am currently waitlisted at 4 schools and I'd be grateful to get an acceptance at any one of them (esp. Tufts or Vermont, where I can see myself being happiest). As a re-applicant I have put myself through the wringer to make myself a better candidate and I can say in sincerity that I have never wanted anything as much as this. Please work your luck for me and my fellow SDNers. Much love.

Dear Lucky WL thread...

I also really need your help right now. Can you please assist all of us in our endeavors and end the misery of constant uncertainty and endless waiting? Pretty please.

I am currently waitlisted at 6 schools, but would really be grateful for an acceptance to VCU or GW. I agree w/ Asystole in that I have never wanted anything more in my life than that acceptance from VCU. It is all i think about. Heck i'm even open to negotiation in regards to this matter haha. In fact, i'm even willing to sacrifice in honor of your awesome powers that be (Goat? Sheep? Lamb? My left pinky?).

Now please... work your magic =)

I'm on 6 waitlists, and I would go to any of the schools in a heartbeat. Especially Buffalo. Please? I reallllly don't want to reapply. 🙂 :luck::luck::luck::luck:

I hear you dude. On 5 waitlists myself here, even my parents have begun to lose faith in my chances for this cycle...

I am currently on 3 waitlists myself and I have been waiting for over four months to hear back post interview from uc Davis. Come on lucky waitlist thread, bring us some luck.

Lol Kac, I use "dude" as a general term for everyone 😀. well, ORM + late appl. + subpar stats = long, agonizing wait 🙁
 
I'm not in the same boat as some of you, as I have 1 acceptance... but I'm waitlisted for 5 months now (rather continued to be review group every month) at my state school and theres nothing in the world i would rather imagine than going there for med school.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can i catch a break?!?!?!
 
I'm hoping that the stars and planets align to make my dream come true . . . I've always been told that I am lucky.

I'm on 4 waitlists with one decision still to go (but I don't think it went too well). Come on lucky WL thread! I've been living with the uncertainty of what I'm doing next year for too long. I particularly want to go to 2 schools of the 4
 
Maybe I shouldve posted on the lucky interview thread :/, too late.

As for the WL, I am currently on 4 probably with one more pending. I would love to get off the WL at Pitt as it is my top choice. The other WL would be awesome too esp vandy. Lucky WL thread, I want PITT!

every superstitious moment turns into a please please please please let me get off THIS ONE waitlist!!! I am thankful to be accepted elsewhere, but my top top choice (in my hometown!) is still holding out on me. wishing us all good luck --- :xf:
 
I'm on five wait lists, in limbo with one (Active Consideration, which means they could still reject me before May 15th I think) and haven't heard back from one school. I already have one acceptance, but I would really, really like to get off most of these wait lists for a variety of reasons! I'm only a tiny bit hesitant about GWU because of the probationary status, so really, any of them would be awesome! :xf: :xf: :xf:

Dear Lucky Waitlist thread,

Although I am very fortunate to have an acceptance at a great school, I would appreciate an acceptance from my dream school where I am currently waitlisted 🙁. And if it's not too much to ask, I would also like awesome financial aid from that school so I won't be in debt for the rest of my life.

God did it!!! I got into RFU today!!!! Whoo hooo!! My first!!!

I don't know what to do! I was so excited, I was trying to call 5 people at the same time with one cell phone!!

The evil waitlists! I got waitlisted at 5 schools and was suffering, but luckily got an outright in December. I can't imagine going to the end with all waitlists. Kudos to you all and best of luck!
