So here's my situation. I was invited for an interview for January 24th, however it conflicted with the USC interview so I asked to postponed. They told me they would contact me for the February interview.
However, concerning Western University requirements, I still have to take Human Anatomy and Human Physiology. I got into the Human Anatomy class at Community College (they do not offer it at UCSD), however I couldn't get into Human Physiology at CC. I can take it at UCSD next quarter Sring 09...however that would mean I would have to take Mam phys 2 + Mam phys lab (a 6 unit lab). I would be taking those 2 classes on top of cell biology and psychology which I need for pharmacy schools + major requirements. That pretty much means I would be taking 18 quarter units that quarter + a 4 unit semester course (human anatomy).
For me, I don't feel 4 semester units equates to 14 quarter units. I contacted WU to see if Mam phys 1 (which i've already taken) + mam phys lab would be enough to satisfy the req. They said it wasn't and that I also needed mam phys 2.
Sorry for the wall of text...but I guess i'm in a predicament. I really don't know if it's worth it to satisfy all these requirements (and slave myself) for my last quarter of my undergraduate years at UCSD.
What do you guys think? Think if I just take mam phys lab, (and have already taken mam phys 1), they will let me slide on the Human Physiology requirement?
Sorry again for the wall of text...
btw, here are my stats.
Above average GPA (especially in science, straight A's past 2 years)
Not a lot of pharmacy experience though. Basically pharmacy club + a 2 week job shadow of clinical pharmacist. Yeah I wish I had more...but what can I do now 🙁
