she even said that the faculty has a lot of otehr things to do like teach during the day...so they have limited time. so lets just hope that this is tru.

i still think they were trained to say all that stuff. but doesn't the dean make all the final decisions anyway? or that's what i heard. after the interview. they make a pile of 2 yes', 1 yes 1 no, and 2 no's, and then the dean takes it from there, no?

Has anyone received an invitation to interview for February 21st? I know it says they will call 2-3 weeks before the interview date, just wanted to see if anyone has an invitation yet.

They might give you a really short notice. They called me 4 days before the interview date.

Yes, I got a phone call today at 5pm from a prof. at Western congratulating me. Pretty cool that they call you too.

and i got an email yesterday from western for an acceptance...
then in the afternoon (around 2 or 3pm) i got a phone call from the professor who interviewed me to let me know of my acceptance 🙂

i am ecstatic!

hrm. not necessarily. you can still get a rejection on top of hold or alternate. but i think acceptances are done.

i was wondering the same thing...no one on here has posted a rejection..granted there are many more ppl that interviewed that are not a part of SDN. But still...

But the adcom said that everyone will receive a decision (from the jan 24th interviews) by next friday and they said the same for the dec. 6th interviews.

so i am thinking that if you dont get an acceptance..then your a hold/alternate.

and then maybe from the next two interviews...they make you wait till april to give you final decisions...which include rejections...=(

Based on what I understood from the admissions office....there were no alternates given out for the Dec. interviews...

So, I dont know if the same thing is going to happen with the Jan. interviews.....

But, I would just pray and hope that everything works out...and always rememeber, EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!!! 🙂

Jubilant, I applied quite late =(. My supplemental was sent in near the end of October.

RFE = Ready for Evaluation. Although the invites are through phone calls, I'm hoping that maybe the e-mail means that our files will be evaluated pretty soon and for this month's interview. Then again, I said I got that notification a week before the Jan. interview and didn't hear anything, so maybe I got pushed back? iono lol.

If i remember correctly, i think you get 50 minutes to write the essay. The essay is non-science related. It just asks you for your opinion on a subject. In fact, the subject wasn't even on a pharmacy or healthcare issue. Bascially you just have to write coherently and support your ideas.

There are about 100-120 people at the interview. It is two on one (professor and usually a P1 and yourself)

From the jan 24th and dec 6th interviews, they roughly accepted about 30 applicants from each interview session.

That is not looking good for me since according to them and many others, those who get accepted would typically receive an email followed by a phone call from the interviewer. Hmm, in this case which means we, waiters for the snail mail are either on hold or alternate. Neither one is good.🙁
