Yeah, I'm with you. I think I have about 9 more, but only 4 in the inbox, 1 of which I just learned I need a new letter I might not be able to get, and 2 that I'm not even sure I'm going to submit... So, technically that leaves me with one waiting and I'm still waiting on 7 others... At least they aren't here yet.

Nice, good to know. Thanks for posting the lists of those expected dates. It helps ease the nerves. Sounds like RVU is going to be sending out notifications any day now. 😀
 
The app cycle's been pretty smooth for me thus far, I'm still waiting on KCUMB and William Carrey,

I have Pikeville done and waiting to submit

however, I plan on adding 4-7 more DO schools (Indiana resident) so need to apply broadly cause our DO school doesnt open till nxt year.

I also still didnt submit my AMCAS yet, working on my PS, thats 15 more schools 😱

You're going to nailed as soon as you submit. You should read up on the prompts in advance to avoid an inbox of 20+ secondaries waiting on you.

Not true, not all send before you are verified, at this point you are looking at 6 weeks before verification. You'll probably see quite a few before verification (maybe 5) and then the rest the day you are verified

i'm not sure how amcas works? I don't want to submit it because I have a low mcat 22, that will prolly be screened out, so I was just gonna wait until, I got new score back but thats not till beg of September. I mean, i figure my chances at MD are slim to none, with my current mcat they are 0%; but if it takes 6 weeks, should I just submit now? i'm confused,

also i'm planning on adding the DO's after i get my new score back bc, i figure it won't matter, since i'm already verified, i should get secondaries right away.

Yeah, you're right. I meant to say verified. The point was that as soon as he submits he will need to get on the essays ASAP. But yeah, only a handful will send applications to you prior to verification. I only received BU and GW before I was verified and I had 20 schools on my list.

In terms of your first question, if you think you scored/will score higher on this exam, based on your practice exams, then I would submit your application now to a school that doesn't screen. This way you will only have the fee for one school and the application, which will ensure that your application is ready to go once your scores are back. Now I would not recommend submitting now at the expense of your new MCAT if you haven't taken it yet. Once you get your new score, and it's what you were looking for then you can add all the other schools you are interested in applying to and just pay the $32 per school and whatever the secondaries are when you get them.

As far as adding schools to AACOMAS, from my experience it takes about a week for them to receive your info and get back to you once you've submitted the additions.

Good luck with your Apps and MCAT (if you haven't taken it yet).

:laugh: i just crack up at some of the ridiculous stuff that ends up in my spam. like those emails from a foreign bank stating that im the beneficiary to $1,800,000.

I should've mentioned that the only reason I am applying MD is because I have a fee waiver, so I will not be paying for primaries/secondaries. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my money. I'm not sure if I can apply to only one school for verification, and still apply the fee waiver to the rest of the schools. I gotta call AMCAS and ask them about that.
 
So far I only got one interview invite, which I scheduled it in late September. I wonder what I should wear for my first interview. 😛 At this moment, I am debating between a black dress (elegant and modest) and a formal business suit (pants or skirt, not sure yet)..Any of your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙂

A suit. Everyone else will be wearing a suit and you would probably stick out in a dress. I got a skirt suit because it is still a little feminine, plus it will be better when interviewing in 80degree weather.

Actually my mom bought me that black dress for my interview. I don't want her to feel bad 🙁 But you were probably right though, haha.

I'm going for a pant suit... Black and simple. I bought it a few years ago and never wore it since I didnt get any interviews the last time I applied. Hopefully its timeless... But I still need to buy a nice shirt for under the jacket. Don't know what to wear under it yet...
 
I am working on the secondary for KCOM, and there is a space where it asks for Test Scores. Is it really necessary to list SAT scores (taken in 2006)? I do not remember what I scored on the exam and would have to contact, and probably pay, College Board in order to obtain this information.

If you took it in 2006, your scores are likely online; mine were and I took it in 2003. You just have to figure out what the username and password was that you registered for the test with. Its a hassle but I managed to figure it out and pull up some old scores. My degree progress report for my school (basically an unofficial transcript) also had my SAT scores on it including all my SATII scores.

I wrote "I misplaced my SAT records and I don't remember my exact scores."

Unrelated to secondaries but as of today, my research project that I worked on from undergrad has officially begun phase 1 clinical trials. Patient 1 began today! Go me! Something interesting to talk about in interviews 😀 Anyone can get publications, how many people send stuff to clinical trials? hahahah

:laugh: Thanks 👍 I'm actually pretty stoked, I just found out today from the other guy in the lab that I worked with. Plus I got an interview invite as a research associate at UCLA today set up for next week AND a potential interview offer for another position yesterday. The last 5 days have been awesome to me! lol

Already employed but its per diem, i'm actually at work now. Finally got a patient in so I've got work for the next 2 weeks straight, makin money woooo lol too bad it will all go straight to paying off my CC

Stick to a suit. In the 3 interviews I've been to (2 DO, 1 SMP) no girl has worn anything outside a suit (either pant or skirt). Play it safe, you don't want to be underdressed and ruin your chances.

Lol well the wardrobe may be a key factor in their admission into this male-dominated profession haha JK... good job everybody. MCAT part 2 at 8 am tomorrow, argg.

P.S. can't go wrong with a headdress to play up the URM status. And, Zeta, just wear a suit... whether or not it's white and/or leather is up to you. Use the black dress for white coat ceremony? I don't know, I'm borderline ******ed.

I just got the AZCOM interview invite 🙂 I'm so happy. West, this one is west. I so want to move back to good outdoor activities. (Climbing, hiking, desert towers)

Congrats!!! I just want to stay in Texas... Where its a million degrees outside. Hehe. This weeks has been crazy, no one has even attempted to go to the pool. Yup, thats how hot it is right now!

Thanks! No drexel for me yet. I'll be able to submit Drexel, NYMC and Touro (if it comes) next Thursday when I get paid. Ugh, but at least I'm getting paid for the first time in a month. I am going to withdraw from USC, supposedly their most recent averages are something ridiculous like 3.74/35, I stand no chance :laugh:
 
I know I'm a little behind, but I just submitted my first secondary 😀

I'm going to start pounding them out as soon as my midterm is over on Thursday, and hopefully catch up to you guys :laugh:
