Seriously. Sounds like rolling admissions.

I agree. We know there is still one committee meeting remaining and we also know that the final wave of acceptances all go out at once. Those letters were probably from the rolling admissions.
 
Ok- I texted one of the boys from my class and he was in fact accepted on the January 31st rolling admissions e-mail but just received his hard copy letter this week.... Wheew. With the combination of that and reading the post about someone's friends who got rejected all finding out around the 15th I got a little worried. Sorry to freak people out.
The other person hasn't responded back to me, but I'm hoping for the same.

Would everyone mind sharing their stats?

Most of our stats are on the first page of this forum =)
 
I never posted mine.

3.85 cGPA
3.75 sGPA
25 MCAT

300+ hours shadowing 4 or 5 specialties, 400+ volunteer, mission trip, 3 years baseball, and some research.

I hope everybody receives good news!

Here are my stats for reference, if everyone would like to share theirs also, we can get a feel for if what I’ve heard about the letters on Tuesday were actually the final acceptance ones: (Hopefully not)

SGPA: 3.78
Overall: 3.83
MCAT: 25
Strong clinical experience for 2 years working at a clinic that sees an underprivileged demographics, participated in research for diabetes and was published, volunteered in Mexico for past 2 summers working in clinics.

I was told that the only people whom recieved a letter on the date if March 6th were individuals whom recieved their spot through either PrEP or BA/MD. Everyone whom applied through normal admissions will find out next week. Hope that helps. 1 more week :scared:

I had this experience last week with U of A COMPHX. It was nerve racking. But at least they gave me one definitive day. I will be a wreck all of next week.

I'm a non traditional in my 40s.
3.33 GPA (very bad undergrad, but much better graduate and postbac)
32S
M.S. in Biology
College Professor
Lots of shadowing in a clinic in Santa Fe, plus ER hospital and Hospice volunteering.

I'm getting excited now, though I know there's a chance I may not get in. Heck, at least the waiting will be over! I'm guessing Tuesday will be the earliest we hear back?

What are your stats antrovagabond? Also we may get the certphi email before UNM's.

Tuesday the earliest but i doubt we will have to wait until Thursday
 
In the past ppl got the background check email before their acceptance.

I managed to get some sleep but only because I exhausted myself by skiing yesterday.

Does anyone know if we are waitlisted do they immediately till us our position? (I'm obviously beginning to second guess myself lol)

Your not the only one second guessing, to my knowledge they don't tell you where you are on the waitlist

For those of you whom are concerned about being wait-listed they just updated the site that has all the FAQs of this topic. Look at the bottom see the date that was last updated? It seems like admissions can update there page from the future!!

I run to my phone every time I hear a email alert. I guess we won't find out today.

Waitlisted. I wish they would tell you where you are on the waitlist in the e-mail, rather than only including it in the mail. Well congrats to those that were accepted!

I was waitlisted! Now I have to wait and see where I am on the waitlist.

I know what you mean. I'm still at the same anxiety level I was before I found out, not knowing if I'm low and have a shot or high and am pretty much done for the season. Oh well, a few more days won't be any worse than the months I've already waited 😀

Very true! Hope we get the letter today, I know it won't be any later then Friday
 
Checked the mail like crazy before I left for work! Does anyone know where they are on the waitlist yet?
 
Yep, the letter arrived today for me. Looks like I'm studying for another MCAT and going to begin working on my p.s/lors for next application season 🙂

Yeah, Fortunately I was also offered an interview for PrEP. I am so low on the waitlist PrEP is my only shot! Any body else waitlisted and offered an interview for PrEP?

Does UNM give their students iPads, or for certain programs? I keep hearing people mention getting an iPad from UNM...

I got an email like that a while back but all it said was iPad in the subject but the actual message was blank so i ignored it. Figured it was some kind of spam or something but haven't heard anything official about that.
