For whatever it's worth, when I was applying (waaaaaaay back in 2011), it was the same way as it seems to be for you all. Lots of waiting, lots of "silence," and lots of stress and frustration. And although I know it's been said before, remember: patience is a virtue.
To my knowledge, SJB doesn't do "silent rejections," so if you haven't heard anything, all it means is that you "haven't heard anything." This is good news, in that it doesn't mean you've been rejected...but it also doesn't necessarily mean you've been "accepted" either. So, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, my best advice is to stay positive, and try not to think about it so much (as impossible as that might seem ^_^).
Also note that SJB is one of--if not THE--last schools in the country to close their admissions windows. Remember when the deadline for submitting your application was? Pretty late in the game, right? Well, the advantage of that (for applicants) is that they have more time to prepare for their interviews and decide, but the flip side of that is that SJB doesn't finish interviewing/filling out their class until much later than most schools.
Also, it's worth mentioning that SJB--like all Puerto Rican medical schools--is required by law to not only observe federal holidays, but ALSO all Puerto Rican holidays. This is something of a problem for all businesses on the island, but it basically means that they have fewer "business days" in a calendar year (and thus, more frequent interruptions of operations) than people on the mainland might expect.
For example, the PR government observes MLK Day on his actual *birthday*--i.e. January 15th--not the "third Monday in January," like the US federal government. Because of this, PR businesses sometimes have to observe two "MLK Days"--one federal, and one Puerto Rican--because they sometimes fall on different days. Also, Puerto Rico observes holidays that people in the US mainland do not--for example, the anniversary of Puerto Rico's discovery.
That being said, there's no denying that it's a **** time you guys are going through, and for whatever it's worth, I sympathize. I'm not trying to make excuses, and believe me, we've all been there (sometimes multiple times >_<). It never gets easier, no matter what anyone else says. But hang in there, keep the faith, and whatever you do, stay strong. And if (God forbid) the worst happens, remember this anecdote from history:
The Beatles were once denied a recording contract, because the person interviewing them decided that they "[had] no future in the music industry." 😀
