You have come to the right place to vent my friend. Do you guys remember how many people around you came in as pre-med during freshmen year?? I swear, almost 70-80% people I met were premed! How many of those people are in the position to have applied to medical school?? And speaking to you specifically, having a
LizzyM score of 74 is pretty ******* awesome and definitely something to be proud off (I sure as hell dont have that!). We all sacrificed more than the average college student to get to the position of being able to apply to medical school. It's understandable that we would expect some kind of reward for our hard work and sacrifice. I have been fortunate enough to have snagged a few interviews (but no acceptances). A lot of you out there with much more impressive applications than mine haven't been so lucky. You would think that a system such as medical school admissions would have some kind of method behind its madness. The only thing I have learned from going through this process is that it's impossible to estimate how well you are going to do. The best advise I could give to any future applicants is to go into this hellish process as humble as possible and as patient as possible.
