2014-2015 Medical University of South Carolina Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Well folks, if I had to take an educated guess (as I smirk at the thought there is any education involved in predicting any of this), I would imagine this week will be the writing on the wall for some of us. Based off the rumor at the CSB, there are a couple of determinations being made this week that ultimately will affect some of us at the very top of the list. Regardless of where you think you might be on this list, I would advise you all to start getting your resources together for next year. This is a complete gut punch to what many of us remember hearing on interview day and how statistics pointed in our favor but for those of us going on multiple application cycles, the last thing we need to do is put hope into the hopeless and put ourselves at a major disadvantage by applying late. Part of me just does not see this ending in a fairy tale for the majority.

This will be my last post on here for this application cycle. I wish all of you the best going forward. Congratulations to those who have success this cycle and to those who do not, do not lose focus on what you have worked so hard for. I believe that after a certain cut off (MCAT, GPA, e.g.) that a portion of this is just pure luck. You never know when your's will turn...

Well whatever happens, please let us know if anyone hears anything.
