I think I left it blank.Did anyone else use their diversity essay for the optional essay?
My philosophy is that if you get an interview, they will probably ask "Why XXX" anyways.

Yeah, I usually steer away from "why XXX" unless asked in a specific question and will either use my diversity essay or gap year one if they don't already have one.
I think in the end it probably doesn't really matter haha
I mean this respectfully, but it's a "requirement." How do you expect to get past it?
Edit: unless you're a non-trad several years out of school
What she was asking was whether that qualifies as a letter from ANOTHER science department. It's this weird requirement Einstein has that requires a letter from another science department if you are enrolled in a science department. That would definitely qualify as a science letter!
Technically, one of my letters is from a Cell Bio professor, which is a separate major at my school (I am just Bio). Would that qualify?
Does the complete email acknowledge the receipt of MCAT scores and LORs?Just got the complete email today as well. Submitted my secondary on Aug 6th.
It doesn't say it specifically but yes complete would mean that they have received all the supporting materials. "We are happy to inform you that your application to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is complete, and will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee."Does the complete email acknowledge the receipt of MCAT scores and LORs?
Has anyone heard anything since the complete email?
Quick question, on the application it says "How many hours during the school year did you work, on average?"
Does that mean per week? Or how many hours did you work during the entire year on average?
Okay, that's what I though. It isn't worded very clearly though.I think it's safe to assume the former. Nobody ever asks how many hours you work a year.
lol of course I see this after I've already submitted, realized my mistake, and emailed admissions in an attempt to correct myself...Okay, that's what I though. It isn't worded very clearly though.
Mine says 2015-2016 as well, I think we're goodon the secondary information I submitted it says entering class: 2015-2016. did I submit a secondary for the wrong year? or does it read like that for you guys? breaking into a neurotic premed sweat right now sigh.
I mean, based on the literal wording, you wouldn't be wrong, haha. Who even knows at this point. I'll try calling in the morning maybe just to double check.lol of course I see this after I've already submitted, realized my mistake, and emailed admissions in an attempt to correct myself...
Yes, I submitted 7/21 and received my complete email 8/7Did it take anyone else super long to get a complete email? I had everything submitted by 07/25 and I'm still waiting for the email.
@rocklobstr I think the only thing that made me do a double-take is how the same field is worded (literally "hours worked per week") in the print version - available, funnily enough, after submission. But yeah, worth a call if you want to assuage any doubts!
I'm waiting on four weeks now and uh currently pretty anxious lol but if it's anything it's on their end because I'm complete at every other school now. I got an email that said I have successfully completed my secondary is that the same has having it submitted? There was a little blurb in the instructions that said you had to hit save and continue or something for it to submit and I can't remember if that was a thing I did or notquick question, how long took you to get the "complete" email after you get your "secondary received" email/submitted your secondary?
It has been a while for me...not sure if that's normal

Oh man I tried and got sassed out. But if you're feeling lucky, why not? Let me know how it turns out for you friend.I've also been waiting a while (3.5ish week)...think it's worth it to call?
yikes, what did they say?Oh man I tried and got sassed out. But if you're feeling lucky, why not? Let me know how it turns out for you friend.
I still haven't gotten an email reply from a week and a half ago. I was sassed via phone also when I asked for the best options pertaining to my situation.Oh man I tried and got sassed out. But if you're feeling lucky, why not? Let me know how it turns out for you friend.

Just got a complete email and I submitted 5 days ago. But I'm MSTP so they might move faster for us.
I just got a complete email today. I submitted my secondary around July 30 but didn't get all my letters in until August 5.
I submitted my sec app on 8/7 but has only received an email saying ' You have successfully completed the Secondary Application. Thank you for your interest in Albert Einstein College of Medicine.' Does it mean my file is complete and under review or will I receive another email for that?
