Thank you. Good luck on your interview!I received it on August 2nd and submitted it August 3rd.
Me!!Has anyone else had the status "secondary in process" for several weeks? I am OOS with strong ties to Alabama and submitted early August and my status hasn't changed yet.

it looks like they are processing IS applications first; they probably haven't even really looked over our applications.....Has anyone else had the status "secondary in process" for several weeks? I am OOS with strong ties to Alabama and submitted early August and my status hasn't changed yet.

IS complete late August, status changed to "Secondary Under Review" a week ago, and then "Remain Under Consideration for Interview" today. I guess at least it's not a rejection?
Neither.I am hoping for an II as well. Are you an URM or nontrad student? Thank you for your help
II on Friday! OOS but strong ties to Alabama. My status was "in process" for 2.5 weeks (even though all materials were in), switched to "under review" on Thursday, and the II came Friday.
It seems to be different for different people. Mine changed pretty fast after submission early August.Does it take a long time for the status of the application to change? I submit my secondary over a month ago with letters and my status is still secondary submitted and in process.
Anyone in-state got II yet?
In-state applicant. Been stuck on "Reviewed - Still Considered for Interview" for about a month and a half now. Anyone else like this? Congrats to everyone with II so far.
Same here. Not sure what to do!?
My advisor told me that UAB tends to take their time and not rush things. I'm just gonna cross my fingers and wait hahaSame here. Not sure what to do!?
OMG! II here today, state of Georgia. Can't believe I got that!
k yCongrats!! This is good to hear as a Georgia resident! When did you come off the secondary in process? What are your stats and do you have any connection to AL?
Good Luck on your interview!!
Yep! After checking the 2016 application thread, it seems that they send those out to tons of applicants every year.did anyone else receive the email from the MD/PhD program at UAB? I havent even applied to the MD program but i got an email describing the MD/Phd program
Yup. Small panic attack sitting in Physics today when I thought it was going to be an II instead of asking me to apply to another program 🙁
II yesterday afternoon. OOS, LizzyM ~70
Do you have ties?II yesterday afternoon. OOS, LizzyM ~70
Do you have ties?
How long have y'all noticed it took for the status to go from "submitted and in process" to "secondary under review". I submitted roughly 5 weeks ago with all documents showing that they have been received, but my status has yet to change. FWIW, I'm OOS with LM ~70
For those of you OOS, did you put "Not applicable" for the question about ties to the state if you have no ties?
Sorry, I do not know. Could you share the interview process and the interview itself ? Thank youHad my interview today, does anyone have an idea of when the first round of decisions goes out? I know early decision have already gotten some, other than that it seems like it could happen any time between now and February? I'm renting near by and am considering buying a house but until I know something about school I'm kinda stuck.

I'm going to interview next week, very nervous about MMIs. Is the MMIs time-limited? Do you have to leave the room when time is out?The interview day was really relaxed. Everyone started off together for orientation, but then we were split into two groups. One group had the traditional interview first, and the other had MMIs first.
The traditional interview is what you would normally expect. The interviewers were all friendly, and it was a stress free environment.
The MMIs were also very fun. In total, there were 7-10 stations (they vary depending on the day). The interviewers were trained well, and they pushed you as much as they needed to. Just find some practice online and you should be fine!
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just interviewed today. For 1 to 1 interview, you don't have to leave your bag, just carry it with you. It's just a 30 mins interview. For MMIs, there is a bench for you to leave your bag in front of the series of rooms for MMI.Question for anyone who has already interviewed. Is there a place to leave your bags in the interview place? I have to leave right after so I was wondering what to do with my bags.
