Judging from years past it seems that they release a round of decisions the closest Friday to Christmas that they work so I’m guessing we’ll hear something on the 19th. It also appears that they’ve interviewed people on a similar schedule and still made decisions on hold applicants that day too historically so I’m hoping the email was just worded funny and we get some good news then.

From what I’ve understood too about their meetings, they don’t meet after every interview day but maybe once every couple weeks and obviously it gets scarcer around holidays due to scheduling conflicts

Congrats doc! Do you mind me asking when you found out?
I would imagine around noon. Someone reported a “waitlist” - which I am assuming to mean a “hold” on admit around 1PM as well.

I’m curious to know if this means they are done sending decisions until the new year.

Thank you! Do you know if you get other acceptances if you can withdraw or are you committed once you accept?
Nothing preventing us from holding multiple acceptances at this time. The deadline for ‘commit to enroll’ on AMCAS is April 30, I think!

Probably narrow it down before then, but definitely have made up your mind and selected your school by that day! This should also give us plenty of time for any schools to send info about financial aid packages that may influence our decisions.

I’ve been on hold since 1/15. Haven’t heard anything. I’m thinking they won’t start taking people off “hold” until they’re completely finished with interviews, but idk for sure
I thought that was the case too, but I was accepted off of a hold on 2/18. Placed on hold 11/25, interviewed 9/24.

They do use it. They sent me an email notifying me that the tool had opened for us on the 19th, and that they encouraged its use!

*Post-II Hold* Called admissions today....... D. Franklin says the class is full and they will pull from the waitlist until the end of June. If someone calls to verify please post the response you receive.

Does anybody know if south does a tiered waitlist after a post-II hold? Are do they just tend to pull from post-II until they are done?
