Did you find out via their portal or in mail?

I have an interview this month at LECOM. Do you have any advice for me on how I should prepare and approach the interview?

Honestly, at least at Seton Hill, I loved the school, but my experience made the interview feel like a waste of time. We had a group of 10 students in the room at once and the professor just talked about what the difference between MD and DO was. And everyone basically spoke for like 20 seconds before he played the counter argument role. It felt like they learned nothing in the interview. That was just my experience

It was both a group and individual interview. You can decide not to do the individual interview but everyone did it. For the group interview just stay relaxed, be yourself, and generate conversation between the members of your group to build upon your answers to the question. Really think they do it just to see how you socialize and collaborate with your peers.

Thanks for your advice! Congratulations maybe I will see you there next year

What was off about Seton Hill?
Honestly, everything in comparison to other schools. Attitude of students was the biggest thing for me. I don't want to attend a school where students say "this is the only program I got into so that's why I'm here". LECOM undoubtedly creates very successful physicians and they do indeed match well, but I don't want to attend a program where that is the attitude of my classmates. It's a cultural/moral thing I think. I'd be happy to explain in further detail over DM.

Accepted! Withdrawing though. Hope one of y'all gets it!

Hey guys, just canceled my interview on 10/27, just in case someone with a later interview wanted to snag it!

Does anyone know if LECOM has a minimum MCAT requirement?

I think I should just consider myself rejected 9.9 it's been so long since Mid-July

How do you withdraw from this school?

Anyone reach out to admissions to see what is going on? Tempted to send an email, just do not want to rock the boat. Advice/thoughts

Tbh - chalking up a rejection at this point. Interviewed 9/15 ED with no portal change or mail.

I called last week and they said it was delayed due to filling out accreditation paper work, I have not had my portal updated either. getting worried.

Does anyone know if letters have been sent without a portal update? Or have gotten a letter when their portal was not updated?

Is it too late to submit a primary to here? I know its rather later in the cycle but found out someone in one of my masters classes attended LECOM and had high remarks about this school.

Still no mail in NY...

Got a II at Seton Hill I'll be cancelling tomorrow in light of an acceptance elsewhere 🙂 I could handle the "rules" if I HAD to in order to get that DO, but now I don't have to find out.

Hope the II goes to one of you guys!:highfive:

given the amount of people already stating their intention to withdraw from interviews and/or acceptances, I'd say go ahead and apply. Worst that could happen is you're out the cost of a primary and secondary application. Best case scenario is you're accepted.

Accepted to the accelerated PA to DO bridge program, PBL pathway. Interviewed September 1st. Portal changed to "decision made" this past Wednesday. Acceptance letter arrived today (I live in California).
So psyched. Good luck to everyone else waiting.

This is super neurotic, but what time of day did you notice the portal change? I only ask because I interviewed the same day as you and still haven't had my portal change

I was driving in LA to visit the La Brea tar pits...stopped for gas around 10:00 and checked to portal on my phone while filling up....this is Pacific Time, so 1:00 PM Eastern. Mind you, I applied for the accelerated PA bridge program...12 slots which are not in competition with the traditional applicants, such as yourself. Try not to infer too much from my timeline. And, IIRC, someone on this thread from last year or so had warned people several times not to read too much into when the portal changes. Best of luck to you.
