I sincerely hope after all of this that it is an acceptance...would be just cruel to wait this long past the agreed date and not get in!

And it is frustrating but it is hard to argue with their test scores and admissions cost

I interviewed 8/11 and haven't heard a peep. Quickly went from one of my top choices to a back-up plan.

Wow, can't believe they dropped the ball on all of the EDs...they seriously offended so many people who were putting them first. I am definitely irked at them, but don't think I will let that cloud my judgement on deciding where I commit to.

Honestly so many schools say they will get out decisions in ___ amount of time and it never ends up that way. It’s just the process which is dumb but you gotta also understand how many apps they get through in such a relatively short time. Also I do understand some schools have a great turnaround as well which makes you wonder why others are slower. Definitely agree that it shouldn’t be your deciding factor on a school though.

I think the only issue here is that they made us all sign a contract for Early Decision, binding us to pay early and commit and then they went back on it. That's what the issue is. Let's hope we all get in at this point haha!

I'm sure they'll at least push the date the deposit is due. My letter was dated 10/03 (received 10/7?) and my deposit is due on the 31st! Still a bit peeved that they didn't give me my full 30 days, but as others have stated- tuition/board scores/PBL 👍

I was interviewed back in late July, opted in for ED, haven't received a decision yet.
 
Maybe this is a way to weed people out, wait and see who sticks around

So if we interview in the next couple week, not to expect response till march???
 
Does LECOM get the award for being the most active discussion board on SDN?
 
but for real, they have to go through an absurd amount of apps if they are doing everyone today

Lol they better get to me today, I'm not going to give up an acceptance elsewhere in hopes of them maybe someday accepting me! Hell that's why I chose ED in the first place so I wouldn't have to be dealing with this scenario

wish they would email us and send a letter since its so delayed
 
Proceeds to not get letter till 30 days later

Won't happen. Once the letters are ready they have to be signed by the dean, then prepared to send. Will probably be sent tomorrow or Friday.

Well if it's tmr There's a decent chance I'd get mine Saturday.
 
Does a portal update mean acceptance...or just we need to wait another 30 days for a decision

Mine changed on a Tuesday and arrived to me in Texas the following Tuesday. I should note, that Monday was Columbus day so mail wasn't going to be delivered then.
 
There's no sneaky way to find out the decision on the portal, right?

The gentleman acknowledged that they state that they consider international applicants, however, in reality they do not accept any international students. I feel pretty stupid about submitting my primary there.

I did exactly the same thing and I did not even receive a secondary (514MCAT and 3.7 GPA international)
