Sub. Secondary=Jun-29

I haven't heard anything else since then.
It sounds like some one on RVUCOM-CO forum already got a "no". Has anyone heard anything from UT or have any updates?

Looks my file went to complete today! I also switched from "no preference" to "UT applicant" so..... hello other UT applicants!

Secondary received on June 25th, haven't heard back from them yet. Hope we get to hear from them soon, wish you all the best of luck! 😊

Rejected post-secondary 🙁 Sad as this was one of my top choices but hopeful to be accepted after any of my other 3 interviews.

I'm sorry to hear that! Did they just send you a rejection today?

Got an II!

Submitted secondary on June 28th. Interview offered July 26th.
Sorry, I also had a question for you, did you receive an email or was the II simply in your portal? I know a few who applied to the CO campus did not get email notifications

I received an email with "Interview Invite" in the subject line, and I had to log into the portal to access the information about the day and scheduling. Good luck! Hope other people hear back soon!

Would you happen to know when your application was considered complete? Sorry for all the questions!

No worries! I submitted my primary on May 26th. I received a secondary on June 25th and submitted it on June 28th. My secondary was marked as complete on July 3rd, and my letters were marked as complete July 18th. Interview offered July 26th. So 2 months from primary to II!

Thank you for sharing your timeline! I submitted to RVUCOM later (7/1) after I received my new MCAT and because I put no preference it was a long time between submitting my secondary (7/8) and being considered complete (7/22)! So, I know my timeline is probably going to be all over the place too!

would you mind sharing your subsection scores?

Alright guys..... I have a weird question. I submitted my secondary back on 7/8, but I just noticed that my file status now has two supplemental application dates listed: 7/8 and 8/6. Anyone else also have this?

EDIT: Reading through last year's thread really didn't help!

I also have two dates, 7/3 and 8/6. I'm not sure what the second date would be. The first is definitely when my application was marked as complete.

Even though you already got an II.....? Weird. I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist 😀 (either that or I'm going to make myself believe that means an II is on the way lol)

Maybe it has to do with the two different campuses? Hmmm

Maybe? I don't know. If that were true, it seems odd that someone who received an II on 7/28 would have a second supplemental application date as 8/6, when you can only be considered for one campus.

How long did it take for your application to be complete after you filled out your secondary? I finished mine July 31st and it still says that it isnt complete yet

Did you select just the Utah campus? I only ask because I put no preference and this led to my secondary being submitted on 7/8 and my file not being complete until 7/22

I only selected Utah campus. My Lizzy score is 63 and I’m a non-trad. I recvd the interview invite a a few weeks ago and I interview in Aug 20.

I submitted my secondary on 7/31 and it says nothing on my application has moved along. Anyone else have this problem?

current RVU student here. Just wanted to drop in t say good luck to you all! It's a very exciting (but stressful) process. If you have any questions feel free to send them my way

What's the interview format? I can't seem to find info on that anywhere. And do they keep it low stress like they seem to claim?

Why did you choose RVU?

I'm a third year now, but from what i heard things haven't changed too much. it is a 2 on 1 interview. So you will be interviewed by 2 professors. It's a relatively low stress interview. They have the answers to your secondary essays but not your grades. So i would be prepared to talk about anything that you brought up in those essays.

Even though people say this is a stress free interview, I would make sure to prepare for it just like any other med school interview. You never know if you will get an interviewer that doesn't stick to the low stress type interview style. But if you are prepared then just relax and be yourself and it should go great.

Mostly because this is where my wife and I wanted to live. Also the reputation for good board scores helped me feel a little more comfortable choosing a brand new school over some other well established schools. For my family it was definitely the right choice and has worked out well for us.

I say go where you think you will excel the most. The school can only do so much for you, but you're the one who has to put in the work. So if you live somewhere that you can handle the stress of medical school better than go there. For me, having all the outdoors stuff (hiking, lakes, bike trails) around and having family close enough that they could come visit somewhat often was good for me and helped me take useful breaks so I could recharge and hit the books hard again.

I saw some people interviewing last week. If your on here let us know what you think of the school and Ivins!

I loved the school and the campus! Ivins is incredibly beautiful, I'm not used to seeing mountains everywhere. Everyone I met was so friendly, I really enjoyed the vibe of the campus. I did not expect to love the school/city as much as I did, hope to get accepted here!

I loved it! Being in state is a real plus for me, I'm greatly considering canceling attendance to other interviews if I am accepted. Gotta save that money. :')

Hey guys! I'm also a student at RVU (just a first year, so I only started a couple of months ago) and I'm here to help out if anybody has questions.
Additionally, my wife and I do Air BnB in our spare bedroom (casita/separate entrance) if anybody is looking for a place to stay during their interviews. Take a look if you're interested: Brand-New Private Casita Suite - Houses for Rent in Ivins, Utah, United States
I would love to answer any questions/help you prep for the interview in any way possible!

I interviewed there Aug 20. There were SO many students who introduced themselves to us and answered questions. It was great. The school is beautiful. The scenery... dude... no words. Incredible. My wife was looking at neighborhoods while I was in the interview and she loved the place too. Hopefully I get an acceptance. The interview was just like an internet interview. Pretty laid back and they used questions I have seen several times. Both interviewers were nice and respectful.

For those of you who have interviewed, how long did they say it takes to receive an acceptance/rejection? I’m interviewing in September and I’m curious!
